Autistic and ADHD, Im a huge nerd who loves researching whatever interests me that day. My lifetime passions range from AI(actual AI, not LLMs. I was working on AI a decade before LLMs hit he market), programming, inventing, educating, futurism, tech, space, and for the last couple years bioengineering. I use lemmy as my only “social media”, and even then i mostly use it for news or memes. I hate society as is it ableist, hippocritical, uncaring to those whose value cant be extracted, and most humans are pretty cringe. As such i have no desire for “social media”, it suffers from the exact same issues reality TV suffers from.
I do have a biological desire to socialize however, so i prefer to have a small group i am intensely devoted towards, whether that be friends, family, or a lover. If youre looking for a personal connection i would like for you to reach out, but if youre a guy then be forewarned: i will not respond to misogyny, i cant comfort you,

Rookie mistake, that exactly what you dont want if you want a successful career.
If i see elephants juggling, training their kids to juggle, getting jobs to support their juggling, creating an entire finanical system around juggling, then yes, I might begin to suspect that juggling is in their nature.
You guys keep pushing this idea that its the rich forcing this on us, but its not. Its you. The person reading this comment right now is enabling the rich by not stopping them. Theres this idea that humans are good, but if thats the case, then where are those good people? Why is it that every single time humans group together we start commiting atrocities? If the good people arent going to stop the bad people, then theyre not good people.
Look around you. This is human nature. Because if it werent, we wouldve done something about it. But it simply is part of human nature to either be evil, or to enable others to do so.

Just have a priest bless the water at the church, which everyone then drinks. Now everyone who goes to church has rat poison in their veins.
Again, why would you want to do buisness with the US? We’re at best an unreliable customer, at worst an active nuisance and threat to the human race. If being anti-isreal means you cant get public funding, then I guess being anti-fascist makes you anti-taxes? Not sure why people arent shutting down the IRS anyways since i cant opt out of them stealing my check to line the pockets of the rich.
Yo im willing to pay like $10 commision to anyone who can do a good high quality cover of this with an actual signer. This slaps and id love to add to it my playlist, but the AI signer just really sucks.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Despite all the AI nonsense happening right now, I have a simple question. Do you feel valued? From one human to another.
1·5 days agoIm young ish, but yeah. No one values me outside of my parents and siblings.

Probably, theyre educational. Genuinely feel like the media i consume is what alienates me from other Americans.

Microplastics are already in the environment. Either humans will adapt around them or we will create, whether intentionally or otherwise, a bacteria that consumes plastic.
Ah cool, so the good people inherently outweigh the bad, hence we dont end up with massive systems of oppression? No? We universally end up oppressing people with every system of government and society that has ever been created? Oh.

2·5 days agoNot really concerned about the sanctions, no one should be doing buisness with the US or US affiliated countries anyways, but the US withdrawing would be really swell.
I had special permission to listen to music with one headphone, because when I did so i could actually pay attention. Without them my entire brain would be dedicated to playing music in my head and jamming out, so i couldnt hear my internal dialouge of what people are saying.

Programmer Humor@programming.dev•Scam Altman says it’ll take another year before ChatGPT can start a timer. An $852 billion company, ladies and gentlemen.
2·5 days agoIt seems to be a flaw in both the hardware and software side of things. Hardware wise, we have yet to make chips that achieve the processing density of human brain matter. Also, heat generation becomes an issue as you try to scale smaller systems up. Software wise, we know our current neural networks dont scale up well, so we seem to be waiting on some more foundational research for more efficient algorithms. My suspicion is that we’re not really going to get true General Superintelligence until we start manufacturing chips that incorporate living neurons, it just really seems cheaper to use already existing computing systems than to design your own architecture.

2·5 days agoFundamentally yes and no. Original commentor could’ve saved his breath, if people wanted to be educated on AI they have plenty of resources to do so but instead they choose to remain ill informed. The difference is that humans are capable of critical thinking and conceptual connection. We are just as prone to mistakes as AI, we just have a much higher apptitude for mistakes lol. Hence the goal not being to make a perfect AI, its a much more achievable goal of making AI’s that beat us in specific fields. Then to beat us in all fields.

11·5 days agoI personally think the genocide of the human race is justified, but anything short of every single person is just needless slaughter and causes more suffering than it solves.
But yes, I believe this because as a general rule humans are fucking stupid animals who figured out violence and oppression and then never evolved past that.
