Liverpool-based retail giant Home Bargains has pledged £2.5 million to help save Zoe's place.

Earlier this month, the baby hospice announced it would be forced to close by the end of the year
00:12
unless it could raise enough money to build a new facility.
00:15
The lease on its current home on Yewtree Lane, West Derby,
00:18
expires next year and long waits for planning permissions and spiralling costs
00:23
halted plans to build a new hospice at nearby Haymans Green.
00:26
The charity said it had 30 days to raise the funds needed for its new home.
00:30
Now Liverpool-based retailer TJ Morris Ltd, which trades its Home Bargains,
00:34
has pledged £2.5 million to save the specialist baby hospice.
00:38
The huge contribution accounts for nearly half of donations so far,
00:43
with the total fundraising amount currently standing at £5.4 million,
00:48
just £1 million off the hospice's target of £6.4 million.
00:51
Zoe's Place has until November 9th to secure the rest of the funds needed for its survival,
00:55
but the charity says Home Bargains' pledge marks a pivotal moment for the campaign.
