At least six criminals from Trinidad wanted by police went to party in Tobago and were arrested. Confirmation has come from Senior Superintendent of Police Earl Elie who is tonight warning criminals, that Tobago is no longer a safe haven for them. More in this Elizabeth Williams report.

00:00At least six Trinidadians wanted by police in Trinidad were arrested over the carnival period in Tobago this week.
00:07At least one so far was sent packing on the ferry to Trinidad on Thursday morning under police guard.
00:14Another criminal is to be transferred to Trinidad for a number of gun crimes in South Trinidad.
00:21Senior Superintendent of Police Earl Eli said some Tobagonians are being influenced by the criminal elements in Trinidad
00:29who are journeying to Tobago via Pirog to commit robberies and other crimes in Tobago.
00:35This he said would not be tolerated.
00:38Senior Superintendent Eli told TV6 News another man from Las Cuevas in Trinidad was arrested
00:45and would be transferred to Trinidad under police guard to face three charges of shootings.
00:52Senior Superintendent Earl Eli said, quote,
00:55law-abiding citizens are welcome to Tobago from Trinidad but the criminal elements are not welcome
01:03and once found would be arrested and sent back to Trinidad to face the necessary charges.
