The time is getting closer for Dwight Yorke's second test in charge of the national football team. He's hoping to walk away with a victory against Jamaica in the first of two friendlies. Both teams will be looking to bounce back from defeats in their last matches.

00:00Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica both lost their last match. TNT losing to Saudi
00:05Arabia 3-1 and Jamaica losing to the US 4-2. Now the two teams face each other
00:11with everything to play for towards a new campaign. The last time the two
00:15teams met they played a goalless draw and so it's a case of reviving a
00:20top-tier Caribbean rivalry. Yeah well listen we're excited we are very
00:24grateful that Jamaica has agreed to welcome here to certainly to play these
00:30two friendlies it's a collaboration between the two countries we know the
00:35history between these two countries the passion that we bring to the game so we
00:39are excited to be here expecting a really tough game tomorrow but as you
00:43said we only have a very short window in terms and in trying to prepare for this
00:48game. York says it's an opportunity to introduce new players. We introduce
00:52again it gives us an opportunity as a backroom staff myself to work with these
00:57players even in a very short period of time is to sort of not bet but to have a
01:03look at the the local players in a more close-up environment and certainly
01:10coming into Jamaica doesn't get much more hostile in this but again to see
01:14the character of the players and certainly to try and bring them out to
01:18get that experience going into the campaign ahead. Defender Josiah Trimmingham who
01:22plays in Jamaica says it's a different vibe and he's looking forward to the
01:26opportunity. In Jamaica the fan base itself really is gigantic you know and
01:33that's what brings out the passion in the football to have fans that are back
01:40in here in every parish as they call it in Jamaica so I mean the football over
01:46here and have been very good the experience I've been I've been really
01:52well really good you know and playing for Montego Bay have been a great
02:00experience thus far. Following tonight's clash at 8.30 the two teams will meet
02:04again on Sunday. Sergio Dufour, TV6 Sport.
