00:59this is well first of all we need to find out why do people change their mind

01:04some people change their mind is because their financial situation get better they

01:08want to have more baby some people change their mind because they've got new

01:11partners or they have actually death in their child or they simply just decided

01:18that they just want to have more children as they get older so when they change

01:22your mind the success rate depends on several things number one is that the

01:28actual duration of the actual vasectomy itself for example anything that is

01:34below three years then the success rate is very good up to 97% patency rate but

01:41patency doesn't necessarily means the actual good chance of pregnancy in fact good

01:48patency rate will also translate to about 80 percent chance of pregnancy after one

01:55of two years of trying and that is if it's less than three years between three

02:00to ten years is intermediate good prognosis and then that can be as high as

02:05about 80 percent patency and 60 to 70 percent pregnancy and beyond ten years it

02:13becomes a lot less why is that the case well there are several reasons number

02:19one after the actual vaso base after the actual vasectomy sometimes there is

02:26something called sperm granuloma when that occur the chances of rejoining is a lot

02:32less other time the lack of pregnancy it might be due to the partner's age because

02:38once the partner is getting older then there's less chance and also other

02:42reasons such as development of the anti sperms antibodies so therefore if

02:49somebody decide to make a u-turn the sooner you make the u-turn the better it

02:53is because the actual pregnancy and patency rate for a u-turn for the

02:58reversal vasectomy is much much better if you change your mind faster for the

03:04following week we're gonna talk about if there is a chance that nature is doing a

03:10vasectomy on you such as a condition called congenital bilateral aplasia of
