00:00Hello there, welcome to the whole month of September and we're going to discuss

00:05the whole thing about male sterilization

00:14Many people worry about sterilization because they have

00:17misconception about sterilization. Sterilization is not castration

00:22therefore do not worry about the testicle being removed. First of all the

00:28differences between male and female sterilization is quite vast. For example

00:33men actually can undergo such procedure under local anesthesia and women have to

00:40undergo it under general anesthesia. For men it actually is a small incision

00:46around the actual scotum itself, for women is actually multiple incision in

00:52order to get hold of the fallopian tube and more importantly for men it is not

00:57it is reversible but for women it is not reversible. So the first week we're

01:03going to deal with exactly what anesthesia do we use. So first of all

02:15non-steroidal anti-inflammatory way before the actual local anesthetics

02:20wears off and for the first day the vast majority people feels nothing at

02:25all. For the second day the actual antibiotics is probably required but the

02:30painkillers is only necessary in less than 10% of men who undergo vasectomy.

02:35So for men who truly truly are quite scared of pain there's other options of

02:42general anesthesia however if you consider that your wife undergo the

02:47whole childbirth for you a small cut for the local anesthesia induced

02:53vasectomy probably is quite worthwhile and probably you need to do it without

02:58the whole problems of general anesthesia. For the following week we're going to
