00:00Hi there, good morning. High pressure builds back in today. That means most places will
00:05be dry, but not entirely sunny. We do have areas of cloud around first thing. The most
00:11extensive cloud present through the North Sea into eastern and northern Scotland, producing
00:16some patches of light rain and drizzle, but nothing like the intense thundery downpours
00:20some places saw on Thursday. Meanwhile, plenty of sunshine develops across England, Wales
00:25into Northern Ireland, and it's going to feel warm in the sunshine with generally light
00:30winds, but with high pressure towards the north-west, well, that's going to produce east
00:35to north-easterly breeze, and that will eventually allow some of that low cloud to affect the
00:40coasts of eastern England, including parts of Norfolk, for example. Of course, where we've
00:45got the low cloud coming back in and the onshore breeze, it's going to feel much cooler. High
00:50teens, low 20s at best, and it's a cooler day on the whole for Scotland, Northern Ireland
00:54into Northern England. High teens, low 20s, but further south, where we do have the sunshine
01:00and away from the immediate coast, temperatures reaching the high 20s, or even 31 Celsius, so
01:06it's another hot day for many southern parts of England into South Wales as well. The low
01:12cloud that I mentioned, that in the North Sea, will tend to creep back westwards as the night
01:17goes on, and it's going to reach perhaps as far as East Wales, much of the Midlands, so
01:22a cloudy night to come in the east. Of course, that's going to keep it relatively warm, a
01:27muggy night for sleeping in places, but the clearest skies will remain towards the west,
01:33and we'll start off Saturday with plenty of sunshine for Northern Ireland, Western Scotland,
01:38much of Wales and the south-west. That's really the theme as we go into the weekend with that
01:43high-pressure holding firm across the north-west of the UK. Winds coming around in a clockwise fashion,
01:49we're going to see a lot of low cloud in eastern parts, the best of the sunshine towards the west,
01:53but with the isobars also pinching together, I think for Wales and the south-west, despite the
01:58sunny skies, it's going to be increasingly windy at the same time. So Saturday starts off with a lot
02:04of low cloud, and I think it's going to take time to burn back towards the east, and even then it may
02:10well linger across parts of Northern and Eastern England throughout much of the day. So not entirely sunny,
02:15some areas just keeping the persistent cloud through the day, even if it is settled and dry
02:22with high pressure in charge. But we will see plenty of sunshine towards the west, especially
02:27parts of Central and Western Scotland, Northern Ireland, much of Wales and the south-west. One
02:32or two shower clouds just affecting the far south-west there. Again, where it's going to feel a bit
02:37cooler because of the breeze. But out of the breeze, for parts of South Wales and the west country,
02:42I think temperature is still reaching the mid to high 20s, where we do have the low cloud
02:47and where it's stubborn to clear back, low 20s to mid 20s more likely. Then heading into Saturday
02:54night, it's really more of the same with that high pressure in a similar place. Always a chance
02:58of the old shower towards the south-west, extensive low cloud towards the east in between. Plenty
03:03of settled weather will keep you updated right here on YouTube.
