00:00Hello there welcome to your latest Met Office weather forecast. Looking ahead

00:04to the new week and it's going to be an unsettled one for all of us. Low

00:08pressure is going to be firmly in charge as we go through the new week bringing

00:12further spells of rain and showers to all of us. Most wettest weather will be

00:16out towards the west with the best of any brightness always generally towards

00:20the eastern half of the country. And that's really the story this afternoon

00:24we've got this band of rain across the west some of this rain will be

00:27potentially quite heavy, thundery given some poor travelling conditions in

00:31places. But all the time towards the east especially for East Anglia and the

00:35southeast we hang on to the dry and fine weather. Well there's sunshine turning

00:39increasingly hazy but in the brightness here we could see highs reaching around

00:4226 or 27 degrees. Elsewhere generally high teens low 20s and quite a humid feel out

00:48there I think for this afternoon. Quite windy too across the north could see some

00:53gales around the coast and that will continue as we go into the evening hours

00:57as this band of rain continues to track its way northwards. Given quite a wet

01:01night across parts of Shetland and Orkney winds increasing here too so quite a

01:05lively night to come here. Elsewhere showers becoming generally confined

01:09across more northern and western parts of the UK with the clearest skies out

01:13towards the east. And for all of us slightly cooler night than the night just

01:16gone but most towns and cities staying firmly in double figures. So looking ahead to

01:22Monday and it's going to be a fairly cheery start across many parts lots of

01:25sunshine around but showers already beginning to develop out towards the

01:29west and as the day goes on the cloud will bubble up everywhere across the UK

01:32and most of us seeing a few showers here and there. Most frequent out towards the

01:37west again some of these showers could be potentially quite heavy could hear the

01:41odd rumble of thunder too. And temperatures for most of us down compared to

01:46today but still reaching around 21 or 22 degrees down towards the southeastern

01:51corner so I think in the sunshine it won't feel too bad out there. And winds for

01:55most of us a little bit down on today as well but still quite breezy up towards

02:00the far northwestern corner of Scotland. Well if you want more information about
