00:00Good evening, everyone. I'm Laura Ingraham. This is the Ingraham Angle from Washington
00:04tonight. Lovers of chaos. That's the focus of tonight's Angle.
00:11All right, let's face it. Only rank partisans, people who hate Trump more than they love safety
00:16for their own people, would complain when Donald Trump offers help to get crime and
00:21chaos under control. Now, we saw that with not having Gavin Newsom in June taking the
00:27side of violent and disruptive anti-Ice nuts in L.A. And not to be outdone and Trump hating,
00:33we heard the same bloviating today from the governor of Illinois, J.B. Pritzker. When
00:38he heard Trump plans to order 100 National Guard troops to Chicago on top of ICE's Operation
00:44Midway Blitz, Pritzker was so mad he reportedly skipped his second dessert. Handy rule of thumb,
00:52if anyone is impeding law enforcement, Pritzker's on their side.
00:55In Broadview, people nonviolently holding signs and chanting against brutality,
01:02expressing their First Amendment rights, have been regularly attacked with chemical agents like
01:08tear gas, pepper spray, rubber bullets, and flashbangs. Without provocation and acting like
01:14jackbooted thugs, ICE has attacked and detained members of the press, including an independent
01:21journalist. What a disgusting individual. Jackbooted thugs. He is effectively putting a target on all
01:29of their backs. And it wasn't without provocation, sir. When ICE vehicles are blockaded by pedestrians,
01:37it's dangerous for everyone. And yes, that happened in Broadview. And it's a crime, by the way. 18 U.S.C.
01:47Section 111 applies to anyone who forcibly assaults, resists, opposes, impedes, intimidates, or interferes with
01:55any federal officer, which includes ICE agents, while they're engaged in the performance of their official
02:01duties. And by the way, penalties can and should range from one year in jail to eight years in jail.
02:07Now, that's what was happening at the supposedly all-peaceful protest in Broadview. And what about
02:17these chants?
02:19Shoot ICE! Shoot ICE! Shoot the ******! Shoot the ******!
02:23Gotta see the... By the way, two guns were found among those so-called protesters outside the ICE facility.
02:30So why would they need something like that if it was all peaceful?
02:32Now, Pritzker's feeding false narratives. And once again, he's fanning the flames with
02:37immigration sob stories.
02:41On a beautiful weekend, when families were out enjoying their day in Chicago,
02:48armed Border Patrol agents were downtown marching up and down Michigan Avenue,
02:53harassing and intimidating residents and tourists, dressed in camouflage and masks.
02:59Has he ever spoken with such urgency and compassion about the victims of illegal alien crime in his
03:07state? Or how about the dozens upon dozens upon dozens over the summer and just a span of four
03:13weeks who were shot or killed? Look, Trump's been exceedingly transparent about his urban agenda.
03:21And he actually has an urban agenda. Not only does he want to bring a lot of jobs back
03:24to urban areas by re-industrializing the United States, he wants to make American cities great again
03:30by first making them safe again. He wants the gangbangers locked up, the illegals shipped out,
03:36and the drug and human traffickers shut down. But progressive prosecutors, state legislators,
03:42city councils, they've created a revolving door of justice, and it's terrorizing our communities.
03:48Look at what Trump's done to help our nation's capital. Look, I went out twice in D.C. this past
03:55weekend. It was awesome. The streets felt like we were back in the 90s and early 2000s. It was night
04:01and day from back in early June. Safer, cleaner, calmer. It was more fun. It's amazing. Just common
04:09sense, though, right? But failed politicians like Pritzker and Mayor Brandon Johnson in Chicago,
04:15they don't care about law-abiding citizens. They care about shielding illegals and catering to
04:21criminals. This is an untrustworthy, corrupt, and out-of-control administration that is doing
04:27everything in their power to foment chaos in our cities. Whether it's in Portland, Los Angeles,
04:33or Chicago, we cannot accept the militarization of our cities. Blah, blah, blah. They can blab on all
04:39they want. Militarization this, that, jackboot. Trump isn't phased at all. He's too busy actually
04:45getting the job done. He's betting in the end that residents will appreciate safer streets and realize
04:52they don't have to live in fear any longer. It's absurd. Now, next up is Memphis, the most dangerous
04:57city in the United States. Federal officials from the FBI, DEA, the U.S. Marshal's Office, and ATF,
05:04they're already heading there this week, with word that the National Guard will be arriving
05:09soon thereafter. This is a multi-agency task force that will be working together,
05:14and at least the Republican Governor Bill Lee seems to be on board.
05:18And now, Portland, Oregon. This is getting interesting. It's getting a dose of Trump's
05:22hostile safety, too. Now, citing Title 10 of the U.S. Code, President Trump directed Secretary of War
05:29Pete Hegseth to deploy 200 Oregon National Guards troops to be deployed to Portland to protect ICE
05:35facilities there and the operations that are ongoing. So all the buildings, the areas around it
05:42have been under siege regularly in Oregon, and it continued this past weekend.
05:47Like clockwork, the state of Oregon filed a lawsuit to block the Trump administration.
06:04So like Newsom, Pritzker, Hochul in New York, officials there are rushing to court,
06:09siding with criminals and against public safety.
06:12We can manage our own local public safety needs. There is no insurrection.
06:21There is no threat to national security, and there is no need for military troops in our major city.
06:28If President Trump came to Portland today, what he would find is people riding their bikes,
06:34playing sports, enjoying the sunshine, buying groceries or produce from a farmer's market.
06:42Oh, isn't it wonderful? And there is a lot that's wonderful about Portland and Seattle.
06:46They're great American cities. But embracing Antifa and encouraging professional agitators
06:52to interfere with lawful ICE operations, that's not beautiful. It's just stupid. It's dangerous and
06:59it's illegal. So except for the hard left and I think the paid agitator class, you see them
07:04everywhere, they all look the same. Most Americans with actual jobs, they want law and order.
07:12They want safe streets. They want safe good schools. They want safe neighborhoods. And city by city,
07:18community by community, that is what Donald Trump is trying to deliver. And that's the angle.
07:25Here to discuss is Jonathan Fahey, former ICE director and federal prosecutor,
07:28and Jonathan Cho, an independent journalist who's outside the ICE facility in Portland.
07:34Jonathan, I want to start with you, Jonathan Cho, because, you know, we keep hearing that all is
07:40roses and sunshine in Portland, that this is just a beautiful, incredible place. People at the
07:46farmer's market, they're, you know, gathering their, you know, organic herbs during the daytime,
07:51and there's just no problem. And Donald Trump is creating the problem, they say.
07:55Well, there are definitely some nice parts here in Portland, Oregon, but the problem for the past
08:03nearly 90 or so days is the situation right out here in front of this Portland ICE facility. Right
08:10now you have 20 far left activists who are harassing the ICE officer. As you can see right now,
08:17they're coming out and the officers usually only have vehicles are being escorted. This is the time
08:22for the activists to, again, harass these officers. It's a restraint right now being shown by these
08:29officers. Right now, no arresting a justice escort so vehicles can leave this area. Meanwhile,
08:37I want to give you a 360 view of really what's happening in this neighborhood. Behind me, you have
08:42senior citizen housing. You have the activists behind me constantly, for 24-7 pretty much, three,
08:51more than a hundred days now causing chaos in this neighborhood. So you start to realize
08:57how disruptive this is. And right now, local authorities, their plan is just not working.
09:03All right, Jonathan Fahey, look, there are varying degrees of chaos and disruption. But as we saw in
09:12that Broadview video near Chicago, people throwing themselves, and I know Jonathan has taken video to
09:19this effect as well, people throwing themselves in front of ICE vehicles, banging on the vehicles,
09:26being dragged sometimes down the street. But I mean, this is craziness and it is a violation of
09:31federal statute. We're seeing some of the video now in Chicago. But several federal statutes are
09:37implicated here. So what should we expect? The Trump administration just to look the other way?
09:44Well, it seems like that's what the Democrats want, that Donald Trump should just refuse to do his job,
09:50which is to enforce immigration laws, which as we've talked about before, he's required to do.
09:55And this just shows these protesters or whatever you want to call them, they're really just a
10:00manifestation of today's Democratic Party. There's no difference in the rhetoric and there's no
10:05difference in the tactics. And Donald Trump is exactly right to bring the National Guard to Oregon
10:10because this has been going on, not just for 90 days, but really the better part of like seven or
10:14eight years that they've been obstructing ICE at the, you know, encouragement of local officials
10:21who are, who are encouraging them to defy ICE because these local officials are willing to put
10:26the public safety of their residents behind their hatred of Trump and behind the entrance of illegal
10:31aliens. But if Donald Trump cannot enforce a federal law without the National Guard,
10:36or if he needs it to facilitate that, he's perfectly lawfully allowed to do so in his right.
10:42And I would, I would suggest he's, it should do this because it's time for this nonsense to stop
10:47and it's time to enforce a law and people obstructing ICE and hurting the agents should
10:52get locked up and that should be the end of it. Yeah. Pam Bondi put out a, uh, a letter today,
10:57basically saying enough is enough. Uh, people who do this type of interference and violent
11:04obstruction of ICE should, you know, should suffer the penalties, the criminal penalties. And she,
11:09and she put out a, you know, pretty tough, tough, uh, memorandum to all members of the justice department
11:16saying this, we're taking this very seriously. Now, uh, Jonathan show, there are tents, um,
11:22up right outside the ICE facility where you are right now. And it looks to be kind of a,
11:27you know, open borders group at one of the tents. Did you actually talk to these
11:32individuals? Uh, are they getting paid? What are they doing there?
11:38Well, those tents, uh, that you're referring to are right behind me right now. Again,
11:42the ICE facility is right here. And then you've got this, uh, tent encampment here. And what's
11:48been happening is that some of the activists have been staying in this tent. Others have called it
11:53an Antifa refueling station. So basically people stay here overnight, get supplies, get food,
11:58and then protest day after day after day. Now, earlier I spoke to one of the nonprofits that also set
12:04up a tent called the Portland, Portland immigration coalition. And basically what they do is they
12:10tell neighbors how to spot ICE agents in the community, uh, and to report that. So that's
12:16type of dynamic. That's the type of tension again, that's building. And of course the neighbors behind
12:21me, they're the ones that are the most frustrated. And many of them say they welcome the Trump
12:26administration and this blitz that's supposed to come. Jonathan Fahey, uh, Bondi clearly has had
12:33enough. Uh, looks like the, the ICE operations are going to ramp up if anything in places like Portland,
12:39uh, Seattle, Chicago, uh, Memphis with crime and other drug trafficking issues.
12:45The Trump administration obviously thinks that this is an ongoing problem and that regular law
12:51abiding Americans want the government to do something about it. Is, is, is there a risk of
12:56overreaching? Is there a risk of, uh, of him going a little bit too far in these cities or is this what
13:03the people want? I think there's always a risk, but right now he's not even close to doing that.
13:09And you, your point with Washington DC is great because it is a noticeable difference in a few
13:15weeks. And I think what's really smart about what they're doing is they're targeting high crime areas
13:21with a lot of resources. And not only will that help that high crime area, it will deter crime in
13:26other areas because they don't want the heat of law enforcement on them. So all of this is good and
13:31the public is going to be safer and happier and more prosperous because of it.
13:36All right. Both Jonathan, thank you very much. Jonathan Cho, stay, stay safe out there.
13:41All right. Well, the peace president was very busy again today in a major moment
13:46for a middle, the Middle East. President Trump announced his 20 point plan
13:51to stop the fighting between Israel and Gaza. Now with all major players in the Middle East on board,
13:57it seems Trump made it clear that the fate of Gaza rests with Hamas. Agree to the terms or else.
14:04Hamas rejects the deal, which is always possible. They're the only one left, but I have a feeling
14:11that we're going to have a positive answer. But if not, as you know, Bibi, you'd have more full backing
14:17to do what you would have to do. He was there with Bibi Netanyahu. Here to discuss
14:24is Victoria Coates, former Trump Deputy National Security Advisor. Victoria, Netanyahu seemed to be
14:31on board today. How big is this? And what are the chances that Hamas actually says, OK, enough,
14:39the hostages will be released, whether they're any alive or we're talking all now deceased?
14:48Well, Laura, good to be with you. And certainly the prime minister seemed to be very much on board
14:53with what President Trump and his administration are proposing. And it's important to see there are
14:58three things this deal would do and one thing it wouldn't. The three things are bring the hostages
15:03home immediately within 72 hours, even before Yom Kippur. That would be amazing. The second is
15:10guarantee Israel security. The third is get rid of Hamas. They can either disarm and decide to
15:17lead a better life or they can leave. They can be given safe passage to other countries. And then the
15:23one thing it doesn't do is it does not make the establishment of a Palestinian state that was so
15:30shamefully, you know, recognized with scare quotes by some of our European and even North American
15:37allies at the United Nations this this week. But it doesn't make that creation of a Palestinian state
15:44a prerequisite to the this deal going into place. So those are the key points. And if Hamas accepts it,
15:53that means that some of the individuals who have been members of Hamas may survive. If they don't,
15:59the president's message was very clear. I will support Israel wiping you out. That's their choice.
16:05And he cited specifically the work of Steve Witkoff, his envoy and Jared Kushner, who, of course,
16:13was so incredible in the Abraham Accords, which President Trump actually invoked today
16:21when he was standing in that press conference with Netanyahu. Watch.
16:25Who knows? Maybe even Iran can get in there. I hope we expect we hope we're going to be able to get
16:32along with Iran. I think they're going to be open to it. I think they might very well be there because
16:40it's a great thing for them economically. Is that wishful thinking, Victoria?
16:46Well, I mean, I work closely supporting Jared in the peace to prosperity plan that was
16:55announced in January of 2020. That was also a good faith effort. The Palestinian people should
17:01know that this is the second time President Trump has put a deal on the table for them that will make
17:07their lives more secure, more prosperous, that would create a good path for their children. So this is
17:14all very sincere. And so, I mean, this is this is here for them. But as we all are thinking, the burden
17:20is going to be on the Palestinians now, Laura, to say yes, to say, OK, we've had enough. We're going to do
17:27this. We're going to get to some kind of resolution to this conflict. But this has been on the table for
17:3390 years before the establishment of modern Israel. So it's going to have to be Hamas that says yes.
17:40Yeah. Well, the Iran thing would be that would be so wild if they agreed to be part of the Abraham
17:45Accords. Victoria, this was wild to see if Trump pulls this off and doesn't get the Nobel Prize,
17:51Peace Prize, then the whole Nobel Committee should be completely disbanded, except for maybe physics.
17:55All right, Victoria, thank you so much. Great to see you. And coming up, the father of a young woman
18:00murdered by an alleged career criminal torches down. How many times are we going to hear that
18:05someone was killed, someone was hurt, someone was maimed because a career criminal was let out on
18:10the streets? Well, just this week, an off-duty NYPD officer was shoved onto the subway tracks,
18:17allegedly by a thug with 18 priors. Aaron Walker is now charged with attempted murder. He was arrested
18:24two days after being put on supervised release for assault on the subway. Of course, we all remember
18:3123-year-old Irina Zarutska, the Ukrainian refugee stabbed to death on a commuter train. And now we're
18:38going to introduce you to Logan Federico, a 22-year-old aspiring teacher. She was visiting
18:45friends when a 30-year-old with a lengthy rap sheet broke in and murdered her in cold blood.
18:51Think about your child coming home from the night out with their friends,
18:56laying down, going to sleep, feeling somebody come in the room and wake them
19:04and drag her out of bed naked, forced on her knees, with her hands over her head,
19:15begging for her life. She was five foot three. She weighed 115 pounds.
19:22Bang!
19:25Dead. Gone. Why? Because Alexander Devontae Dickey, who was arrested 39 goddamn times,
19:3825 felonies, was on the street. You will be sick and tired of my face and my voice
19:47until this gets fixed. I will fight until my last breath for my daughter. Stop protecting the people
19:56that keep taking them from us. Please. You have the power. We put you in the power to do what you have
20:04to do. We're asking you, we're begging you all to stop this.
20:13Here with me is that father you just heard, Stephen Federico. Stephen, I saw that video and I was
20:21enraged right along with you. First of all, I'm so sorry for the loss of your daughter. It is a heartbreak. I have a
20:28daughter about the same age. And you say that Logan's suspected killer, Alexander Dickey,
20:36was treated with more respect, seemed to have more rights than she did. What did you mean by that?
20:41Well, I mean, if you take a look at his criminal rights in May, he's got 39 crimes, 25 felonies.
20:51And they cared more about making sure he wasn't put in prison
20:57than worrying about whether or not he was going to hurt somebody. His crimes escalated every time
21:03he committed a new one. I mean, he finally graduated to the jackpot and executed our daughter. I mean,
21:13we're still trying to hear from the South Carolina solicitor to see what he's going to do, whether
21:19he's going to seek the death penalty or not, which obviously it checks all the boxes that it does.
21:24But they're more concerned about keeping criminals out of the prisons and out of the institutions than
21:31they are putting them in there to try to rehabilitate them. You can't rehabilitate some of these guys.
21:36It's just impossible. Steve, there was a moment during this hearing when a Democrat,
21:43Congresswoman Deborah Ross, confused your daughter with another victim. Let's watch this.
21:52I also want to express my deepest, deepest condolences to the family of Irina Zarutska.
22:01We should have been doing more to prevent crime and address the lack of mental health care
22:09long before this hearing, particularly. This is my daughter. This isn't Irina.
22:14Oh, I'm sorry. This is my daughter. I am so sorry. Okay. I am so sorry.
22:18This is Logan Federico. She was before Irina. I am so sorry. Four months before.
22:23I'm so sorry for your loss. And my heart goes out to you. Dare you not know her.
22:27Steve, you know, we heard the activists five years ago say, know her name, know his name.
22:37And you think this was more than just a mistake. It's a general sense of carelessness and heartlessness
22:45that just had to have added to the pain that I know you're already feeling as a parent.
22:49It was humiliating. I mean, I did my homework before I went to the meeting.
22:55I would have known exactly who I was talking to. The meeting was about violence against,
23:02you know, the innocent and not to know who Logan was. Her picture was right there.
23:08They're blondes. They're beautiful. But not to know who you were referring to. It was it was a little
23:16embarrassing and hurtful. Steve, how is how are you? This is what I thought of when I saw you in the
23:24video. How are you as a father getting through this? Well, you know, I'm fighting for Logan.
23:33I have to be Logan's voice because nobody else will be. I don't have anybody fighting for. I don't have
23:38anybody fighting for her justice. Somebody has to fight for the innocent people that are left there.
23:44You know, we've got to make some drastic changes here in our in our system. People like Alexander
23:50Dickey should not be on the street. People know that there's no reasonable argument that somebody
23:56can give me why he was on the street. They just can't. And they won't. They haven't. They hadn't even
24:02tried. OK, they have someone has to stand up. They have no answer. There's zero answer. Yeah,
24:08they don't want to answer. But you confronted them, Steve, with the truth and with the righteous
24:15anger of a father. And I salute you. I actually kind of get teared up on this segment because it's
24:21so upsetting. I'm praying for you and your family because I know peace is going to be hard to get. But
24:27we're really praying for you. And thank you for doing what you're doing and anything I can do to
24:31help you. You know how to get in touch with me. And I mean it. OK, Steve. Thank you so much. It's
24:36been a pleasure. Thank you. And Iowa High School is being investigated by the district after GOP
24:44Congresswoman Ashley Hinson exposed it for having a, quote, bisexual plus awareness week. Now,
24:51Hinson only became aware of it because her 14 year old son goes to Linmar High School in Marion,
24:57Iowa, and told her how it was incorporated into its student led news program.
25:03This week, we are kicking off bisexual plus awareness week. Use symbols like the bisexual
25:07pride flag or wear buttons that support bisexuality to show your to show your allyship. Use terms like
25:13bisexual plus to be inclusive of all non-monosexual identities. A non-monosexual identity refers to
25:20sexual orientations that are not exclusively homosexual or heterosexual. This term encompasses
25:25a range of identities, including bisexual, pansexual, fluid, queer, and omnisexual. Non-monosexual
25:31identities emphasize that attraction can be complex and not limited to traditional binaries.
25:37This sounds like a bad, yeah.
25:42Trump says China agrees to fully open country's market to U.S. business.
25:48The agreement means China will open itself up to American businesses, according to President Donald
25:53Trump.
25:56China has agreed to open itself up to American businesses following trade negotiations between
26:02Washington DC and Beijing on Saturday, according to President Donald Trump.
26:08The arrangement was arguably the most significant development stemming from the trade negotiations,
26:18Trump told reporters Monday at the White House. Plans have yet to be finalized and papered,
26:24but Trump said that China is on board with the agreement.
26:27The biggest thing to me is the opening up, Trump told reporters Monday, during an announcement
26:36regarding an executive order on drug prices in the U.S. It would be, I think it would be fantastic
26:43for our business if we could just go in, compete, and compete with China. It would be a lot of jobs for
26:49China. I think it's maybe the most important thing to happen because if you think about it, we open up
26:56our country to China, Trump said. They come, we don't. I mean, they have very few restrictions and they
27:04didn't open their country to us. Never made sense to them. It's not fair and they've agreed to open
27:10China fully open and I think it's going to be fantastic. Treasury Scott Besant launched trade
27:18negotiations with China in Geneva on Saturday, resulting in a deal that would temporary ease
27:24up on tariffs for 90 days. Specifically, the trade deal stipulates that the U.S. will cut down its
27:31tariffs against Chinese imports from 145% to 30%. Likewise, China will reduce its tariffs against U.S.
27:39imports from 125% to 10%. However, tariffs against some Chinese imports will not tighten up, according
27:47to Trump. Existing tariffs against cars, steels, and aluminum will remain in place, he said.
27:54Meanwhile, Besant signaled that more talks of China would occur in the near future and that both
28:00Washington and Beijing would like to continue advancing negotiations.
28:03I would imagine that in the next few weeks we will be meeting again to get rolling on a more
28:13fulsome agreement, Besant said in an interview Monday with CNBC. Besant previously warned that the
28:22tariffs could cost China up to 10 million jobs and said that it was up to Beijing whether it would loosen up
28:28the tariffs or not. I think that over time we will see in the Chinese tariffs an unsuitable for China,
28:35Besant told reporters at the White House on April 29th. I've seen some very large numbers over the
28:41past few days that show if these numbers stay on, Chinese could lose 10 million jobs very quickly.
28:49And even there is a drop in the tariffs that they could still lose 5 million jobs.
28:54The deal with China comes days after the US and the UK inked the trade deal of their own, which kept
29:01existing 10% tariffs in its place against the UK goods, but removed some import taxes on items like
29:09steels and cars. With this deal, the UK joins the United States in affirming that
29:14Ripper City and fairness is an essential and vital principle of international trade, Trump said on Thursday.
29:22The deal includes billions of dollars of increased market access for American exports,
29:26especially in agriculture, dramatically increasing access for American beef,
29:30ethanol and virtually all of the products produced by our great farmers.
