Enos William McDonald, known as Skeets McDonald, and born on October 1, 1915, in Greenway, Arkansas, was a country and rockabilly musician. He started his music career by joining the Lonesome Cowboys in 1935 and later formed his own band. After serving in World War II, McDonald moved to Los Angeles in 1951 and became a regular on Cliffie Stone's Hometown Jamboree. He signed with Capitol Records, releasing over 80 tracks, notably including his 1952 hit "Don't Let the Stars Get in Your Eyes", which topped the country charts for 18 weeks. McDonald later signed with Columbia Records in 1959, recording hits like "This Old Heart" (1960) and "Call Me Mr. Brown" (1963). He also appeared on the Grand Ole Opry and made several film appearances. McDonald died from a heart attack on March 31, 1968, in Los Angeles.
