What do you like best about Oyster?

Oyster is very easy to use and is very clear in allowing us to set up employees that live elsewhere. I also enjoy the cost calculator feature which is very useful when deciding whether to hire employees or not. It is easy to bring this data quickly to a discussion with Leadership which before required me to spend a long time working out the cost of bringing people through an EOR. And the hiring process and onboarding flows through Oyster are very simple to use and easy to complete make it less cumbersome for us as admin and for employees. What do you dislike about Oyster?

It seems like Oyster is built on the basis that you only hire employees through oyster and that most customers would use it this way. Specifically for us, and I am sure more businesses are the same, it would be better if the integration with HRIS was more complete, understanding that businesses will generally use a separate HRIS to manage all their employees and it would be ideal to Oyster would auto sync with our HRIS.

This would be everything from documents to details. This is the bit I dislike most about Oyster because it creates additional admin work to have to keep both systems up to date.

As an additional, it would be good if it could integrate with out ATS system Workable too or any ATS so when we hire someone it moves straight to Oyster if applicable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oyster?

I find the user interface of Oyster easy to use, with clear guidelines that make navigating the platform straightforward during onboarding. I really appreciate the prompt support; whenever I get stuck, I can always reach out to someone who resolves my issues pretty quickly. I recently had to upload documents, and the process was very straightforward thanks to the intuitive UI and clear guidelines. When I faced a brief issue during verification, my onboarding manager responded immediately and assisted me in resolving it, which made the overall experience smooth and stress-free. What do you dislike about Oyster?

There's an option on the homepage or dashboard to contact the onboarding manager, but that button doesn't seem to work. Since I already had her email, I was able to reach out to her directly for help. However, if someone doesn't have the email, it might be difficult for them to get support when that option isn't functional. I think this is something that could be improved. What do you like best about Oyster?

The whole platform is incredibly user-friendly with locally-relevant knowledge that makes understanding employing overseas more understandable. The help centre is clear, concise yet thorough, but most importantly I felt in very good hands with Raman throughout the journey. He always responded to my endless queries with patience and knowledge, whilst also being very approachable and supportive in our communications. What do you dislike about Oyster?

I believe there was some conflicting information on the help centre to do with being able to hire if someone has a visa compared to what was discussed at one point, but Raman resolved this really quick (appeared to be an error on the web? Also appreciate that this legislation changes all the time)

It covers everything very weell. If I had to pick something, I'd say it is impossible to fill holidays in the past (which may be reasonable) and you need support to change it, that on the other hand, are very responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oyster?

I really like the convenience that Oyster provides, especially in global hiring through EOR, as it helps overcome the limitations imposed by the differences in each country's legislation. The agility of Oyster's support is impressive; they respond quickly and accurately to specific questions about each country. What do you dislike about Oyster?

I do not like the lack of clarity in communication in general terms. It would be better if a clearer overview were given and there were a more proactive approach, instead of waiting for the contracting companies to be the only ones to take the initiative or waiting for problems to arise before contacting the contractors. What do you like best about Oyster?

Every step of the onboarding process was self explanatory and simple to understand. I was able to setup my account with my employer from another country with no difficulties.

The dashboard showed the current status of everything and details. Adding my bank account was easy and it was simple to add another account for expenses as well.

Payment processing status was displayed and useful.

Login security was also good, though I did not use 2 factor authentication as I used Single sign on instead (that already has 2FA enabled anyway). This integrates very well into my current workflow as I don't have to worry about too many usernames and passwords.

What do you dislike about Oyster?

I couldn't use the mobile app as I get an error that my organisation has not enabled it. But I am able to access the web portal from mobile browser anyway - so that doesn't make sense.

Would have been useful to have the app active and give notifications as a status changes.

Without notifications(as I do not have app access), I have to open the browser every time I need to check the status. Hence I needed to check it multiple times a day to know if the form was processed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oyster?

I appreciate that Oyster handles everything, from official documents to payroll preparations, which allows me to save valuable time. The reminders to not miss deadlines are very useful, and the team is there to help us find suitable solutions when a problem arises. This saves me from having to know everything about German legislation and allows me to focus on the human management of the team, which is a priority for me.
