Definitely one of the best in industry and I find it baffling them to have such a poor rating on TrustPilot. There are things I would like them to improve such as their lower priced plans to offer more features. Their platform is probably the most robust and stable in this space. Highly recommend them.

The product is terrible — do not buy it.

This is a terrible product company — do not purchase anything from them. They provide absolutely no service or support. When you need help and contact them by creating a support ticket, you’ll enter a long waiting period. At most, they’ll send you a meaningless reply one second before the end of their workday, completely unrelated to your issue. Then they’ll expect you to respond to yet another irrelevant message. They won’t solve any of your problems — all you’ll get is a pile of useless nonsense. So if you don’t want to waste your money on meaningless replies, stay away from this company. This is a completely honest review.

Hi Emory,

We’re sorry to hear about your experience. This isn’t the standard we aim to deliver, and it certainly sounds like we fell short here.

I'd like to understand what happened. If you can, please share any relevant ticket IDs with us at alex@runcloud.io.

I'd like to share this with our support team to review where things broke down. While we can’t undo the frustration, we’d like to make things right and ensure your issue is resolved.

JUST THE WORST

Been using RunCloud since it's inception, it was awesome when it launched, but they kept increasing pricing, adding limits and now support barely understand basic terminal commands. I would recommend something other than RunCloud, we are even planning on leaving, seem they only care about profit more than customer satisfaction.

Hi Chris,

We’re sorry to hear you’ve had this experience and that we haven’t met your expectations.

While I understand that not every feature release is relevant to every user and that's always a risk we face when the product evolves, we absolutely haven't stopped caring about users.

If you’re open to it, feel free to reach out to me personally at alex@runcloud.io with any relevant details, including past support interactions, so we can investigate further, and see if we can make this right. 🙌

Non existent support. Only use if you have devops in your own team

Honestly, the service is OK, however, the moment you have to deal with support you're done. Probably the least caring support I've seen is Google outsourced India support. In the last year alone: they took over a year to fix security issues, and I mean high security issue that leaked customer details when using Runcloud Hub with Stripe. Then they introduced new user permissions nobody asked for and asked users to migrate themselves. Now they broke MySQL instances and sent massive email to everyone "could you please fix it for us".
This is just honest review. I hope they'll improve but honestly, it's downhill every month.

It's getting rather expensive in here

I have been a Runcloud customer for years, since 2017. It was great but now no app WAF and I just read you plan to ask 19$ per month for Pro? Really?
Well, for about 20$ I could have Ploi Pro and ServerAvatar Starter plans together.
Sure, I could downgrade to your Basic plan, but only 1 server?

No thanks. Farewell I guess.

RunCloud Pro - The Ultimate Server Management Tool for Web Developers

I first tried RunCloud over five years ago when I was exploring various server management tools, and even back then, I was impressed with the free version. However, I ended up using different tools as my needs evolved. Fast forward to two months ago, I decided to upgrade to RunCloud's Pro version—and I can confidently say that it is the best decision I've made for my web development workflow.

As a web developer managing nine servers with around 300 websites, server management can be a daunting task. RunCloud has completely transformed how I manage my servers. The interface is intuitive, and the features are incredibly powerful, yet easy to use. It has saved me countless hours of manual work and made server management a breeze.

One of the standout features of RunCloud is its seamless integration with various cloud providers. Whether you're using DigitalOcean, AWS, or any other provider, RunCloud makes deploying and managing your servers effortless. The ability to set up and deploy servers with just a few clicks has significantly improved my efficiency.

The support team at RunCloud deserves a special mention. I’ve had to reach out to them a couple of times, and they were incredibly responsive, addressing my issues almost immediately and providing solutions that worked perfectly. It’s rare to find such prompt and effective support in this industry.

Overall, RunCloud Pro is a game-changer. It’s the perfect solution for anyone looking to simplify server management without compromising on power or flexibility. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to switch to RunCloud, and I highly recommend it to any web developer or agency managing multiple servers and websites.

Good Customer support

Surprised to see negative reviews here.
I have self managed websites for many years via shared hosting and cpanel. This has been my first experience with "enterprise hosting" and its has been seemless.

Setting up VPS is a breeze on any PAAS of choice. I am on Vultr and its lightening fast.
Just had an issue with one of my wordpress installs and the support query was resolved under 3 mins. Really good service.

Great product for SMB

Despite what other reviews say, their support is actually really good. Granted they can only help with their own product (makes sense), and maybe other people are complaining as support couldn't solve issues out of the scope of the Runcloud product. After submitting tickets I always get responses and help quickly (even on low priority tickets). The remote access from the RunCloud team lets them access our servers and provide support quickly. I've moved away from cPanel (as it was getting rather expensive) to RunCloud and have been very happy with the product and their support. Well done team!

Hi Sergio,

We’re sorry to hear about your experience with our billing support. We use Paddle as our merchant of record, and when we first started with them, there were some initial issues that impacted response times and resolution.

We understand how frustrating this must have been, and we’ve worked closely with their team to improve the process and ensure customers get faster, more helpful support. If you still have an unresolved billing matter, please drop me an email (alex@runcloud.io) and I'll escalate it internally.

The general product is okayish, support awful

The general product is fine, the support is abysmall. They have this offering called Hub where they cache Sites like wordpress, however that feature is buggy -> checkout sites exclusion dont work, leading to my woocommerce customers seeing other customers data which is a big deal and i had to turn it off immediatly. the backup function also was buggy and didnt backup every week even though it was supposed too

Personally I would AVOID

I was with them for 4 years (a very early customer) and paid their increasingly more expensive prices while their support & offering remained just meh.

I recently wanted to downgrade to monthly after only having paid for my 5th year in advance. How was that request received... of course computer just 'said no' to that idea ("...based on our refund policy..." yada yada).

So that corporate speak sealed the deal on me leaving. Yet another company that just does not get the concept of goodwill, what can I say but - buh bye

Disappointing Support

If you have the misfortune of requiring support from runcloud expect the worst experience they wont help you resolve any issue, even for a small technical detail in your app.

The only answer you will get is they can only help with problems related to the malfunctioning of their panel. This is what they answer to any support request you make:

"We are RunCloud panel support and our support scope is limited. Consult with your web app developer. You can contact us 24/7 regarding any issues related to RunCloud services"

Do yourself a favor and Avoid runcloud. Serverpilot and Cloudways have way better attention to its customers. Even for small technical Wordpress and server configurations.

A great solution for managing web hosting

I've been using RunCloud for managing my Vultr cloud server for over 4 years and I find this a very satisfactory solution for managing the hosting of multiple websites for my clients. Their support team is always fast to respond and usually very helpful. The control panel is good and straightforward to use. My only ongoing issue is lack of DKIM key generation for the purpose of improving deliverability of emails sent from the server. This is the only thing holding me back from giving them 5 stars. I have submitted this as a feature request and I'm hoping they implement it.

Great service

I am onboard basically from the start, had some very minor issues once in a (long) while, but support was always very helpful. I was always on PRO plan which used to be the best with all the features. That sadly changed and there is even better program with some nice features i would really like, but i would have to pay way more and for me the PRO is "enough". To be fair they add new features even to PRO so its not that bad, but still. But aside from the price increase i have nothing but positives to say about either the product or the helpdesk team. Keep it up!

The product is nice

The product is nice. However they haven't been able to fix a live search function for OVER A YEAR now. They even know what's wrong with it, but won't adress it. As i've been using this tool daily for my work, it has cost me so much time to find the exact application i'm looking for.

Would've been a 5/5 if they did fix it in the first place.

----
EDIT: We're a year further. As you can see Runcloud gives the answer that is has an improved search. But the livesearch still isn't functioning correctly; as it only searches the first 3 characters of the searchquery. (it has been like this for more then 2 years now) Thats why i reduced the review to 2 stars.

Great Product & Customer Support

While there are some policies with which I have disagreed in the past, overall they make it up with great customer support which always answers within hours and resolves issues ASAP. Services itself are great. While the pricing could be a bit lower I feel, if you price your own services right to your clients then its all good. I don't feel any negatives deserves for starts to be reduced hence 5/5 from my side as my overall experience is net positive.

Open ticket for 3-months. No support, acknowledgement, or resolution to simple problem with cloning/staging/creating development environments.

No support for 3 months. Ignoring key information and sending you around in circles. No engagement in the problem, and showing a total lack of initiative in resolving problems. The support staff do not care about their customers' issues, no matter how simple they might be to solve. They just send you in circles, and offer nothing to aid you in the simplest of tasks (i.e. using their built in staging site tool pollutes your development and live environments, as it does not overwrite the database. It simply merges it, which causes all sorts of tables to be bled into the main site).

Also when cloning WordPress Multisite using their tools, nothing works. The subdirectories or subsites URLs are all broken, and they lead back to the main domain. This happens every time. The support take no ownership over this issue, and do nothing to help you - even though the issue is something that could easily be fixed or rectified if they engaged with, and activated their brains to think about the issue. Cloning and staging are huge parts of development. And if they cannot provide this service, cannot provide customer support, and cannot do anything else, then how will they survive as a company?

Needs serious improvement. If they can resolve these issues with Staging and Cloning, and take these issues seriously, then I would upgrade this review to a 4 or 5-star rating to represent their level of service and customer care.
