I know, and I’m saying it’s a good thing that it caused backlash, per the headline.

Love how the bot posting these “bad news from Germany” evaluated this as such while it’s actually good news.

basically any interaction with Copilot

Good that I don’t have any then.

I think they would’ve postponed it until after the elections like they’ve done with taking back permanent residencies if they were not all behind it. DN says “Regeringen går vidare med förslaget om vandelsprövning för uppehållstillstånd”, which is why this is in the news again, it’s very unlikely that at this stage a party backs out.

It has plenty of time to pass, the new citizenship laws are also slated to start going into effect on national day (June 6th) even though they’ve not passed yet. Passing the Riksdag ia a formality when the government has a majority.

which means support will not be unanimous within the government coalition.

Wrong conclusion if you ask me.

I don’t imagine many people would opt in to this. Even if you bother to click on the notification for setting it up, the multi-step wizard warns you enough times about the risks of enabling this feature that most would just leave it disabled.

I would say generally they are more religious which somewhat correlates with backing the regime. But then again, I wouldn’t categorize anywhere as a conservative or liberal stronghold.

What I meant by that was that you don’t have liberal states like California versus conservative ones like Florida, because you don’t get to elect Newsom versus DeSantis. In other words people don’t move to Tehran for trans rights or free daycare, they move there because that’s where the majority of jobs are. So labeling Tehran as “where the reformists live” doesn’t make sense to me as someone who has lived there for 25 years.

There is no conservative vs progressive dynamic in Iran, because there are no free elections in Iran.

Used to follow the account behind this a few years back, never bought anything though: https://www.redbubble.com/de/people/DGMEME/shop

I found it kind of funny to see some people scrambling to cancel their ChatGPT subscriptions after OpenAI swooped in to take the contract Anthropic refused to, as if this is the first moral problem they’ve found with using ChatGPT, but what’s even more bizarre than that is seeing a post on this community celebrating an AI company.

France AI Company

French AI Company? Obviously Reuters knows English better than me, so please enlighten me how that headline is correct!

Don’t know, I’m thorn on that idea.

I don’t know, but I’d say they’re very much competitors with Vipps now that Vipps has entered the Swedish market so that might be why.

At least the account was not deleted immediately after? I call that a success!
