As for my username, do scammers and bots write scammer/robot in their usernames? perhaps you can look at my account history? I’ve been steadily active for the 3 years I’ve been on lemmy. It would be a huge effort to pose as an active user just to sell $20 to a lemmy user and somehow scam them doing so.

I still have to sometimes post the content that I want to see on Lemmy. and I find a lot of benefits to a smaller community that doesn’t seek out fake internet points.

I left reddit because I was upset about them killing the RIF app during the API thing a few years back. It was a bit of a transition to get used to Lemmy but after weeks/months I got use to Lemmy and am more than happy to never use reddit again. I hope reddit dies. Every time they use the censorship hammer to silence users, it vindicates the existence of Lemmy and I welcome all former redditors. Also I definitely posted content on Lemmy that reddit would have censored.

If Daniel Lurie was promising to put in a leftist progressive replacement to represent district 9, I think there would be more pressure on her to resign. District 9 will not welcome someone who is not a democratic socialist type of leftist. and that could be difficult for Lurie to be good with nominating.

I hope so! I still think he is likely to win. So many people in SF vote based on name recognition alone. I had a conversation with someone that told me Saikat needs to stand in line like Scott did.
