15:42you were the winner of the last challenge which means you cannot be eliminated tonight today we're
15:47going to have a multi multi multi multi-million dollar runway show we gave you well let me correct
15:55myself we let you borrow some spectacular jewels to be worn with your looks you were to create a design
16:03that is glamorous enough to walk the runway with these precious gems totaling all together

16:29designer eric damon all right welcome in this season we're very excited to welcome tim gunn to the
16:36runway show as you know he is your mentor and he will not be judging your looks okay let's start the show
16:50i'm really happy how it's moving on her body the way the air is catching it the way the light is
16:56catching it it really looks like the diamonds in the gowns were meant to go together
17:05so i'm very happy with how my garment looks
17:14i think i hear my fellow designer gasp and that tells me that my garment is the show shopper
17:22this work showcased how well i worked with different fabric and i am very very proud
17:32my garment represent me as a fashion designer to the t
17:37it's sexy it's classic it's sophisticated but at the same time there's a wow factor that is breathtaking and
17:45it demands attention i am extremely confident
17:55i knew that everyone would do gowns so i had to do a cocktail dress i definitely knew it would stand out
18:05it fits the model beautifully and it just moves amazingly i'm feeling like i have a chance to win this
18:15for a bias cut dress created in one day the dress fit impeccably it's really nicely draped
18:27my dress and the diamonds complement each other perfectly
18:33i'm very very pleased with the outcome
18:35i really tried to push myself with the shape of my design and do something that i haven't seen before
18:47i think my garment is really beautiful and complements the jewelry perfectly
19:04my design looks gorgeous when she walks it flows and it opens and you get that flash of yellow i think
19:11it looks so beautiful i think my design complemented the necklace very well
19:19i didn't reinvent the wheel but i didn't need to
19:26i mean she looks like a boss i am so proud of it i'm like almost brought to tears
19:34i stayed true to the challenge and i made that necklace look great i made my girl feel wonderful

19:50my soul is just dancing with her up there the jewelry is really light and i think it just blends into the
19:56skin and over top of that black it's just out there i wanted to create a julie box and she's my
20:02ballerina just spinning in the jewelry box i'm pretty happy

20:20my design complements the jewelry beautifully it's not over extravagant to take away from the jewelry but
20:27it's the perfect relationship
20:38she looks absolutely gorgeous the dress fits her like a glove the diamonds are reflecting up to her
20:44face the tool is kind of floating on air it's modern it's feminine it's very sexy

21:11i'm in a complete panic i feel so disgusted with myself that i had the lack of decency not to

21:50my construction is so awful that wasn't a misstep it's not the way you usually construct clothes

24:38dom tell us about your look i found the perfect silk print that i fell in love with because i thought
24:44it just really looked like she would be dripping in emeralds i decided to do a really just graphic
24:51flowing gown you have diamonds and emeralds and sartoir it looks very serious what i loved
24:59is that you made it very young i think it was interesting that you picked this print it's seeing
25:05these jewels in a very different perspective and that's what i'm always looking for can i see her back

25:14however whatever you use to hem the fabric seems to be overpowering it if i had to pick one dress
25:23today would be yours thanks everyone is looking for something new something fun something different
25:29it does look very hip and happening your necklace is beautiful and i think it plays with the graphic

25:46chic i could see it on the red carpet and can as well as on a beautiful young southern debutante well

25:56mind was this blue velvet box and then at about eight o'clock last night had a make it work moment
26:02and just started completely over and i ended up with this razor back but in the front i'm i'm pretty
26:08excited with where it ended up well i'm surprised that your model is also wearing some eye makeup yeah
26:13l'oreal has some really great things but still not hair styling products the hair to me does not look
26:20that great what about your fabric is that part of your cause or it was actually a really great
26:25experience there were some cast offs and garbage bags and that's actually where i found the chiffon
26:30you went through the garbage bag um the cast offs so the more like the scraps or like end of bolt
26:35and where does the blue velvet come from that velvet's coming from my studio yeah well i commend you
26:41for taking something as ambitious as velvet i actually like the way you cut the bottom of the dress
26:47when i get to the top of the dress and how the necklace sits on it the dress looks backwards a
26:51razor back on the front there's a reason it's on the back blue velvet is really gorgeous but it's
26:56really sucking the color out of those stones and i do think if it was flipped around and you saw the
27:00white in the front with the necklace would be really gorgeous it's bizarre that you have the racer back in
27:05the front and you who is a designer that likes to play with gender what about a fabulous tuxedo jacket
27:14that's how i want you guys to think as designers kate tell us about your look i chose the sapphire and
27:20diamond piece and i was inspired by marie antoinette fleeing versailles so i kind of just pictured her in the
27:27middle of the night getting that knock at the door picking up her silk sheet wrapping it around her
27:31beautifully corseted bodice and of course she couldn't forget her jewels i knew immediately
27:37that this was your dress when it came down the runway because i know you love building corsets
27:43actually you won one of the challenges that was for me for my surprise campaign which also
27:48was beautiful corset i love the color i love that it's very light the back you did a beautiful job
27:54it's just really really pretty all the way around thank you so much i love that you had a story behind
27:59the dress as a costume designer it's always important to think of a concept around what
28:02you're creating the iciness how the necklace and earrings really pop against that color and it's
28:07just beautiful on her skin i think you picked a fabulous color for your model and a fabulous color
28:13to go with those rocks i see a few things that are twisted here and there but i think you had great
28:20design the jewelry pops i like the asymmetry the transparency is great her styling is terrific you
28:27could see her in a perfume ad this is your strongest work that i've seen you do thank you guys sandro
28:35tell us about your look i've got the beautiful vintage rubies i'm only one who have that dark
28:42burgundy color and i don't want to play any other extra colors so i decide play more feminine style sandro
28:50you really love putting a lot into your garments last week you really overdid it and you piled on you
28:57piled on you piled on you piled on you kind of did that again but i think it really works this week
29:06thank you very much i really really like it you have little peekaboos on the side you have a lot going
29:11on on the back on the little tail the top piece and i'm very very happy for you i appreciate that
29:19very much thank you you do have a ruby piece that does stand out for everybody else and you kind of
29:23went with the earth tones and the tan there's a beautiful selection my only critique would be that
29:27there is maybe a little bit too much lace detailing around the fish tails in the back but overall i think
29:32very well done on a nice combination with the jewelry i also appreciate that you made it short you used a
29:38fabric that is not really associated with high jewelry so i respect that and i like that it's
29:46very exciting as nina said that you chose an unpredictable fabric that being said you have to
29:52be cautious of the wrinkling of the fabric the whiskers increasing are not going to come out unless
29:57you steam it yeah i've got that point today for me the sides of the dress actually take away and it
30:04goes a little trashy however i think that the space in the midriff sort of saves it and makes it more
30:11modern thank you sandra thank you kando please tell us about your look i knew we didn't have a lot of
30:17time so i kept it really simple i knew i wanted to pick a green print to kind of complement her hair
30:24and make the gold stand out some designers they try to get too much done in one day and i feel like you
30:32haven't done enough in my eyes it is so simple that it's kind of boring those colors are beautiful
30:40on a redhead but you didn't really explain how it's working to animate that beautiful necklace
30:45i really don't think that it is showcasing that necklace and there is a big disconnect i feel like
30:48between the dress and the accessories the print is really hard it looks like sand art the construction
30:56is really not inspiring i think it looks like a dress on sale and you shouldn't pop more than the
31:02outfit you look cooler than she does and that's a problem kahindo the dress is nicely made dress
31:09but maybe it is just too nice here is your opportunity to tell me the story of who you are as a designer
31:16i don't know if this is exciting enough i wanted to keep it simple and silhouette and make the colors speak
31:24i understand what you guys are saying but i am a strong designer i can definitely show that thank you
31:32helen tell us about your look i wanted to do something that was chic elegant but still modern so
31:40i took a big risk in trying to do something i've never done before which is what cups never done cups
31:46before i'm always surprised that you guys choose to do something you've never done before here and i am
31:53boob obsessed you want to have beautiful cleavage and then you have your beautiful necklace the execution
32:00is just very poor a gown like this takes days and you know that from your experience there's no magic
32:08elves that are going to come in at night and finish your dress it's not bibbidi-bobbidi-boo and i'm
32:12definitely asking for them you know what i do too but the hem is off the fabric was the wrong choice
32:19you have to be strategic you really do have to time manage we really should understand the
32:24competition as you're going into it and not take that on and you know hinder yourself as much the
32:29design of it is interesting but you didn't deliver on it i have a hard time believing that you're a
32:36bridal and evening wear designer
32:38i live for this i live for this like i want to do couture like i want to i want to be in paris
32:48i want to be in europe i want to do couture and i am probably throwing myself under the bus but i'm
32:53gonna do it till the day i die and no matter how long it takes to learn how to perfect it i'm just
32:59gonna keep doing it no matter how many times i mess up i'm not gonna stop doing it
33:09i admire your passion very much thank you i respect that i appreciate that i appreciate
33:15all the details on this dress it's a beautiful dress the idea was there but you weren't able to execute

34:30i mean i would pick that one dom's dress it could have been palm beach matron so easily and it's not
34:36exactly a chance and a lot of risk-taking she thought about the texture of the green and diamonds and how
34:41to balance something so estate yes it makes it look younger let's do talk about this dress yes please
34:50about helen even at the critique last night i said well surely this isn't going to remain of course not
34:56it's going to happen and all my concerns need to go away it's going to be fabulous but then it isn't
35:01this kind of shredding effect it's not nice no it's hairy hips yeah you don't want that texture on your
35:06hair this up close is a hundred times worse she was very ambitious you have to celebrate that you're
35:14so nice mina i know i mean i guess yeah you're so nice because i just think i'm trying to be nice but
35:20it's a little hard looking at this if this was made very well i don't think it would be a bad dress
35:27so we have sandro's look very very happy for him he turned it back around now this to me is a
35:34beautiful chest he's working with the most technique with construction his fit is really good
35:40yeah but he walks the line between stripper and chic yes completely it's a taste issue but this week
35:48he got it right we gave him a high score this is so standard it's a dress block pattern i don't
35:56on kahindo's behalf i feel very responsible for how this textile appears because this is a tool
36:03over the print i don't think that has anything to do with the fact that this is a boring dress
36:09i wanted to mitigate the effect of this oh my goodness that's what i wanted to mitigate
36:15putting that layer over it makes it at least palatable thank you tim i felt good guidance for
36:20sure then yeah because if this is the reality yeah that is we're in trouble
36:25poor timothy this is a thousand percent better than when i had the critique with him so when i see
36:36this talk about a transformation his sewing isn't bad sewing is not really but this is sad and then
36:44again what bra do you wear with this you cannot imagine heidi what could we wear it's gonna be like
