00:01Previously on Project Runway...
00:03This is your third unconventional materials challenge.
00:07You're working in teams of three.
00:10Our first team is Ken, Alexandria, and Sue.
00:14Ken, are you going to be our chauffeur?
00:16I'm living a nightmare.
00:23Jeremy, you are the winner of this challenge.
00:26Alexandria, Ken, Sue, you are the losing team.
00:30Sue, it looks like a coffee filter.
00:32But it's not just Sue's, it's you, and it's you.
00:35We just didn't have the chemistry.
00:36I'd try communicating, I would be ignored.
00:39Did you have a problem dealing with Ken?
00:42Correct, you just want to pet the cat and just make it calm.
00:46Sue, you're out.
00:49You have a front row seat.
00:51For fashion's greatest show.
00:53This is Project Runway.
01:00Congratulations.
01:01Thank you very much.
01:02I'm thrilled.
01:03I'm waking up in first place this morning and it feels amazing.
01:06I just can't wait to get my hands on to the next challenge.
01:09I wonder what today is going to do for us.
01:11Let's go find out.
01:13Hi.
01:14Well, as you can see we're dressed for the outdoors.
01:16And this is about as outdoorsy as I get.
01:20We think that you've been trapped in the concrete jungle long enough.
01:44We need to get you out of here.
01:45So with that in mind, our friends at Resource Water are sending you on a camping trip.
01:52People think since I'm from the south that I'm a nature boy.
01:56I don't want to walk in the dirt.
01:58I don't want to be bitten by bugs.
02:00And I'm not sleeping in a tent.
02:02Let me correct myself.
02:03It's a glamping trip.
02:05It's how fashion designers camp.
02:08You only have 30 minutes to pack your bags for our overnight trip.
02:1430 minutes.
02:15Hurry.
02:16Go, go, go.
02:17Go, go, go, go, go.
02:18I don't know what glamping is, but I'm scared about being outdoors.
02:24Have you been glamping before?
02:25No.
02:26I haven't been camping since I was a little girl.
02:28What do you wear glamping?
02:29Too much.
02:30It's glamping.
02:31Oh, my God.
02:32Oh, my God, you guys.
02:33I'm here to being suffocated in this workroom with no windows, and now we're in nature.
02:50This is exactly what the doctor ordered.
02:53Hello, designers, and welcome to your glamping site.
02:56I'm exhausted from putting the tents up, let me tell you.
03:00I'm thrilled to introduce you to Shona Squara, Head of Activation for Resource Natural Spring Water.
03:06Shona, we're delighted to have you here.
03:07Thank you so much.
03:08Thank you, Jim.
03:09Hi, everyone.
03:10Resource is 100% natural spring water with naturally occurring electrolytes for a clean, refreshing taste.
03:16Resource values having a sense of discovery and believes that nature helps us discover our best.
03:21And in the whole spirit of discovery and nature, for this challenge, you are creating a look that is inspired by the environment in your activities.
03:30It is about fashion, with a capital F.
03:33We do not want you to create a look that you might wear in this environment.
03:37It is about something that is high-end and editorial.
03:41What it is is completely up to you.
03:43Think about the environment.
03:45Think about the activities that lie ahead for you.
03:48Tim tells us that we'll be doing all these really cool activities like zip-lining and rafting.
03:54It's just the most perfect place for us to be right now.
03:57Tomorrow morning you'll leave.
03:58We'll all go to Mood.
04:00And you'll have the rest of tomorrow to create your look.
04:03It's a one-day challenge.
04:05Of course.
04:06Of course.
04:07Have fun, and I will see you tomorrow at Mood.
04:10Brilliant.
04:11Come, Shona.
04:12This is what I was talking about.
04:17I feel like Katherine Hepburn, doesn't you?
04:20I know.
04:21Talk about glamour.
04:22Beyonce doesn't even get this, honey.
04:28One of the things I'm realizing is that actually, out of the studio, we are all nice people that get on quite well together.
04:35Oh, Lord.
04:36I don't feel my legs.
04:37My heart is racing.
04:38I think I'm going to die.
04:39Oh, .
04:40That was fun, huh?
04:41What did you think?
04:42I want to kiss the ground.
04:43However, too many shoes been on it for my lips to be on it.
04:49I want to kiss the ground.
04:54However, too many shoes been on it for my lips to be on it.
04:59I start designing, my mind starts to drift, and I think of my husband, I think about 15 years so far together, and so I start to write a love letter to him.
05:28And it's at that moment that I decide I want to use the letter I'm writing in my design.
05:35Oh, my God.
05:38Oh, my God.
05:39I think I can see you with that.
05:40Hey.
05:41Look at these meals.
05:43Oh, delicious.
05:45It's so good.
05:46Fancy living.
05:47So, how's glamping, Ken?
05:49It's fabulous.
05:52I like glamping.
05:53It's my favorite thing to do now.
05:55So, you just roast it.
05:56Okay, I'm going to win.
05:57I think it's about time for bed.
06:01Oh, okay.
06:02Good night, guys.
06:03See you tomorrow.
06:04Good night.
06:05This was very long overdue, but I know this is a competition and we're all here to win.
06:08Have a good sleep.
06:09When we come back from glamping, that's it.
06:12Game on.
06:13Coming up on Project Runway.
06:15Ah, it.
06:18It looks like a kid's drawing.
06:30We have to leave our glamp site and I am so reluctant.
06:34I am soaking up the last set of sun.
06:36But, with this inspiration, I am really excited to make this garment that's inspired by this beautiful place and just this wonderful experience.
06:49How is everyone?
06:50So wonderful.
06:51I've missed you.
06:52We've missed you.
06:53Did you have a good time?
06:54Yes.
06:55We did.
06:56All right.
06:57Well, I'm thrilled to have you back.
06:58You will have 30 minutes to shop at Mood.
06:59And you know that you have a suggested spending amount of $300 in your GoBank debit card.
07:13Your 30 minutes at Mood begins now.
07:16I have no idea what I'm going to create.
07:21Walking down the Allison Mood, I see this beautiful woman.
07:26Walking down the Allison Mood, I see this wool fabric.
07:29And it automatically makes me think of nature.
07:32It's perfect.
07:33I'm thinking about doing lacewood.
07:36Oh.
07:37Like making my own.
07:38Making your own?
07:39Yes.
07:40Using the glue gun material.
07:41That's fine.
07:42Cool.
07:43Designers, time is up.
07:46Everyone needs to be at the register, please.
07:49That is time.
07:51It's going to be $300.31.
07:54Thank you, Mood.
07:55Bye, Swatch.
07:56We'll be back.
08:05We're home.
08:10Are you like going for a water thing?
08:12Yeah.
08:13Because it totally reminds me of like.
08:14That's exactly what I'm doing.
08:15It's beautiful.
08:16For this challenge, we're expected to use this glamping trip as inspiration to create something
08:21that looks high in.
08:22I decide to do an embroidery technique that I've never done for clothing before.
08:28I've only done it on bags.
08:30And I call it thread painting.
08:32The first thing I need to do is get that love letter written onto my fabric.
08:39I'm making an evening gown.
08:42White, full length.
08:43I love it.
08:44That's such a beautiful idea.
08:45I love it.
08:46That's beautiful.
08:47Is this just glue gun?
08:48Yes.
08:49Wow.
08:50I want to be able to mimic the water and just really create this beautiful caster that
09:00can be translated into lace.
09:03Carry on.
09:04Oh my god.
09:07It's hot.
09:08Getting nowhere.
09:09Aww.
09:10So I'm doing a gown, full length, to the floor with a long train.
09:18Very fitted, very tailored.
09:20It's pretty simple, but I think the fit is really going to knock it out.
09:25I'm thinking that I would want to make a denim jacket and a funky pair of long johns.
09:31Sort of camping wear, but modernized.
09:34I had a moment of second guessing what I wanted to do.
09:38But there's no time to second guess what you're doing and it's too late now.
09:46It's very quiet in here.
09:48How are you, Karen?
09:49Good.
09:50How are you, Tim?
09:51I'm excellent.
09:52I was just inspired by the tent and the way it was draped.
09:55It was like some vintage safari camp.
09:57Here's my fear.
09:58Unless you do something to this textile.
10:00They're going to say it's like bridal or boring.
10:02Well, compared to your peers, you didn't take it far enough.
10:06Back to work.
10:07Thanks.
10:08Hi Justin.
10:09Hello.
10:10So when you were talking to me about creating lace, it's with the glue?
10:15Yeah, it's all...
10:16This is amazing.
10:17I think it's smashing.
10:19Thinking about my work so far, I think I've been plenty safe.
10:23I had already planned on speaking to you today about pushing things.
10:27So you're doing it.
10:29Alexander.
10:30Hey Tim.
10:31Talk to me.
10:32I'm calling this End Trees at Midnight.
10:34So it's basically the silhouette of trees against the dark sky.
10:38Dark blue into black.
10:39But then I'm going to actually attach all these blues and black leathers,
10:44cut them into little pieces and basically create kind of a bark.
10:47So it's an ombre bark.
10:49Yes.
10:50I think it's going to become bottom heavy.
10:51Okay.
10:52And too...just too separated in terms of the colors.
10:55That makes sense.
10:58How's Braden?
10:59Hi.
11:00I've always loved the glow of moss.
11:03The color and the...even if the sun's not shining on it, it's sort of glowing.
11:06I love moss too.
11:07Yeah.
11:08I wanted it to be thread, but it just takes too long.
11:12This is thread?
11:14Yeah.
11:15I actually thought you had taken colored pencils and done this.
11:19Oh no, it's all embroidered.
11:20Oh my God in heaven.
11:22I'm very distracted by this treatment.
11:25Hmm.
11:26It looks like a kid's drawing.
11:29I don't know whether to spend another two hours...
11:33I wouldn't.
11:34...on this before I go to the dress.
11:35I wouldn't.
11:36I think you'd have to resolve the dress now.
11:39Can't wait to see what it's going to be tomorrow.
11:41I know I can't either.
11:45So Alexandria, how did you like the trip?
11:49It was awesome.
11:50How did it inspire you?
11:51With glamping, it was like the modern way of camping.
11:54So I bought the denim to sort of reinvent the denim jacket.
11:58Oh, alright.
11:59So that's how you see this piece, is the jacket?
12:02A jacket, correct, yeah.
12:03Okay.
12:04I'm marveling at it, frankly.
12:05Thank you, Alexandria.
12:06Well, I see why this fabric spoke to you, Karen.
12:09So talk to me.
12:10How did you like the trip?
12:11I wasn't excited about it.
12:13But the longer I was there, the more I...
12:16You got into it.
12:17Yeah, I did.
12:18So how did it inspire you?
12:19I was thinking about the water.
12:21That's actually what inspired the structures.
12:24How far are you taking these...
12:26I'm gonna take it here.
12:27...modulating?
12:28Possibly about here.
12:29What's determining that decision?
12:32The actual wear?
12:33The fit, because it's gonna feel like a glove.
12:35It needs to.
12:38How's Jeremy?
12:39Good, thank you, Tim.
12:40I sat and wrote a semi-philosophical love letter.
12:44And what has it become?
12:45A bias-cut sheath dress.
12:47Okay.
12:48The challenge is going to be in the execution.
12:50Hi, Tim.
12:51Helen.
12:52So how did it inspire you?
12:53What inspired me was this moth that was dying in the bathroom sink.
12:58Alright, well this isn't going to be a work of art.
13:00Go for it.
13:01Thank you so much.
13:03Designers, I don't know when I've been this excited about a workroom visit.
13:06I'm ecstatic.
13:08You have until midnight.
13:09I'll see you in the morning, everyone.
13:12Good night.
13:13Good night.
13:23Hey!
13:24Come on, darling.
13:25Too long.
13:26I'm running out of color.
13:28Is that Miranda or Christian Dior over there?
13:30That's cool.
13:32I'm making a bunch of little origami petals that remind me of a tree trunk with leaves coming
13:47out the bottom.
13:48This is great.
13:51You can wear it.
13:52That's my model.
13:53I think it would look fabulous in there.
13:55Especially with the blazer and the bow tie?
13:57Fab.
13:58I know this is a competition.
14:01However, Justin has a really soft spot in my heart.
14:04He's a magnificent guy.
14:06He's a great artist and we always try to look out for one another.
14:10Oh, my God.
14:11Turbo time.
14:12Oh.
14:13My hand's going to fall off.
14:14I want some more time.
14:15Oh, my God.
14:16What did the five minutes just go?
14:17I've been draping and re-draping and re-draping for so many hours.
14:32I don't know what's wrong with me.
14:33I'm confusing myself.
14:35Oh, dear Lord.
14:37How am I going to get anything together so that she's not naked on the runway?
14:42Well, hi, everyone.
14:43It's time to go home.
14:51So, you have immunity today.
14:53I do.
14:54Can I purchase that with my glove in the car?
14:57No.
14:58Can I be okay?
14:59Yeah, I just have a lot of hemming to do.
15:02I think you should win today.
15:03Me, too.
15:05As I can't, I think you should.
15:20Good morning, designers.
15:21Good morning, team.
15:22It's a big runway day.
15:24You will have two hours to send your models to the L'Oreal Paris hair and makeup rooms.
15:29Use the Belk accessory wall thoughtfully and strategically.
15:33And I will be back to take you down to the runway.
15:36Thank you, everyone.
15:37Work hard.
15:38Thanks, too.
15:43Brayden is struggling in the work room.
15:48He doesn't have a lot on the dress for him.
15:51He looks very frantic.
15:58How are you doing?
15:59Good now.
16:00Looks so good.
16:01Thanks.
16:06Does it feel tight here?
16:07Yeah.
16:08It keeps popping out.
16:09I'm having a hard time because there's weird tension going on on the garment causing it to
16:15stretch out and snap.
16:21So my theme is trees at midnight.
16:23Okay.
16:24Kind of fake.
16:25Shorter looking haircut.
16:26Okay.
16:27I want your hair back and just like super wet looking.
16:30We'll use the Versailles shine.
16:31Sarah will give it almost like a wet look with lots of shine.
16:34Cool.
16:35Maybe do a braid crown.
16:36Okay.
16:37I like that.
16:38I think it'd be beautiful.
16:39It's more mother nature.
16:40Yeah.
16:41I love to like pick up this color.
16:46I'm going to do that beautiful pastel line on the eye.
16:49It's going to look gorgeous.
16:50It's a lovely smoke right around the eye.
16:54Yeah.
16:55Let the eye be the show shine.
16:56Okay.
16:57Yeah.
16:58It's a bit like sunshine.
16:59Exactly.
17:00So this is moss glow.
17:03I love these cream cheeks.
17:05It still keeps the dewiness and freshness.
17:07Fantastic.
17:08Beautiful.
17:09Thank you so much.
17:11Got a soap.
17:16Cool.
17:19Wow.
17:20Wow.
17:21Designers, in ten minutes, you and your models and I are going down to the runway, alright?
17:29Ten minutes everyone.
17:31So beautiful.
17:32You look so good.
17:37Nope.
17:42It is time.
17:44Designers and models, this is it.
17:47We're going down to the runway.
17:49Here we go.
17:54That's it.

18:51The model paired with the winner of Project Runway will receive a fashion spread
18:54in Marie Claire magazine and $25,000 from L'Oreal Paris.
18:58Hello, designers. Welcome to the runway.
19:05As you know, in fashion, one day you're in, and the next day you're out.
19:09There are 11 of you here, and after tonight, there will be 10.
19:13For this challenge, we sent you on a glamping trip.
19:17We asked you to create a high-end, fashionable look inspired by your glamping trip.
19:22Jeremy, you won the last challenge, which means you have immunity
19:25and you cannot be eliminated tonight.
19:27All right, let's say hello to the judges.
19:29First, we have acclaimed fashion designer, Zach Posen.
19:32Hello, designers.
19:33Hi.
19:34Creative director for Marie Claire magazine, Nina Garcia.
19:38Hi, everyone.
19:39Hi.
19:40Actress and star of the hit show, Girls, Alison Williams.
19:44Welcome.
19:44Hi, guys.
19:46In this season, we're very excited to welcome Tim Gunn to the runway show.
19:50As you know, he is your mentor, and he will not be judging your looks.
19:54That said, he will get one Tim Gunn rescue during the season,
19:59which allows him to save one of the designers if he gets eliminated.
20:04All right, let's start the show.
20:11I've finally done something that speaks for me on a level that's completely immeasurable.
20:16I'm so proud and so happy of my construction.
20:19Like, it's in the bag.
20:27I'm going to win this challenge.
20:34I cannot believe that there's anything even on my model because I made that gown this morning.
20:40It's actually flowing.
20:47It looks okay.
20:49I'm kind of surprised, but I've pulled it together.
20:52My look is beautiful.
21:01It's fit really well, and it's really different compared to everyone else's.
21:10It's totally beautiful.
21:12My dress turned out exactly the way that I envisioned.
21:15I'm slightly worried that my dress is too simple compared to the rest of the designers.
21:31However, I like what I've created, and I feel strongly about it.
21:35I'm ecstatic.
21:45She looks edgy, sharp, sophisticated, fashion-forward.
21:48She looks cool.
21:49G is a pro.
22:01She walks it exactly the way I ask her to, and she looks stunning.
22:12What were you inspired by?
22:14Trees at midnight.
22:15Cool.
22:16I think I'm going to win this one, finally.
22:19I tend to think minimalistic, and this garment is something that just multiplies my vision
22:30to even a larger, grander statement.
22:35My look stands out from all the other designers because I took the risk.
22:44I love that she looks like water.
22:46I'm definitely happy with how elegant it looks, and how the dress is moving, but not moving
22:52too much.
22:57It doesn't feel crafty, and you can see my inspiration immediately, and I'm just so happy.
23:02I feel like I may be in the top.
23:04My model looks beautiful.
23:10It just flows so wonderfully, and it really looks like she's glamping on an editorial photo
23:16shoot.
23:17I feel like I could totally be in the top or win this thing.
23:26I think she looks adorable.
23:34You can see her face light up, and as a designer, that's how I know that I did my job.
23:43It looks really cute.
23:45I really feel like it's a job well done.
23:48When Roberta comes out in the gown, I'm really happy.
24:05Oh, I like that you have a white panel, and Peter's cool.
24:08The dress turned out exactly as I imagined, and I really hope I win.
24:12If I call your name, please step forward.
24:20Dom, please step forward.
24:23Brayden, please step forward.
24:27Kate, please step forward.
24:30Helen, please step forward.
24:33Miranda, please step forward.
24:37If I have called your name, congratulations.
24:39Your scores have qualified you to move on to the next round.
24:43You can leave the runway.
24:54The six of you have the highest and the lowest scores.
24:58One of you will be named the winner, and one of you will be out.
25:04Karen, tell us about your inspiration and your look.
25:07Going glamping, immediately I see lanterns and exposed bulb lights hanging in the trees,
25:14and then you have these beautiful white tents that are there with draped front openings.
25:18To me, it was just, like, depictive of a vintage African safari,
25:23and so I created this drapey dress, leather detail,
25:27that what felt to me like that vintage safari look,
25:30and then did an ombre dye into a bright yellow to give that effect of the sunlight.
25:37She looks trashy to me.
25:39Oh.
25:39Like this long hair with so much makeup.
25:43I think that you couldn't make up your mind whether you wanted her to go to the beach or to the rodeo.
25:48She's wearing, you know, it looks like a beach dress,
25:54but then she has the leather harness and the cowboy boots.
25:58You've got two conflicting stories there.
26:00I do get the yellow sunset of opening your curtains and that experience,
26:05but it's a little bit of runny eggs, the ombre.
26:09I think a little bit of her femininity was lost in the piece,
26:12and I would have liked to see if maybe the tailoring of the fabric
26:15could have been taking it in a little bit on the sides
26:18to just show off her body a little bit.
26:21Thank you, Karen.
26:23Jeremy, tell us about your inspiration and your look.
26:25What I was thinking primarily was about my space and position on this planet
26:31and about the planet as a whole,
26:34kind of the smallest essence of that to me was my family.
26:38So I wrote a love letter to my husband and my children.
26:42One of the things it talks about is that I can never tell him enough
26:46during the days how much I love him and I forget to tell him.
26:50I haven't done a bias cut gown for many, many years.
26:54It was a real challenge.
26:55You haven't done bias in a while.
26:57You did it very well in the time frame.
27:00It's not easy to sew.
27:02It's beautiful.
27:03It feels very personal.
27:05Yes.
27:05It feels very authentic.
27:07When you see this dress, it gives you an emotion.
27:11I am crazy about the little row of buttons on the side.
27:16It was breathtaking.
27:17I mean, when it turned the corner, and I agree with Nina,
27:19I'm obsessed with the buttons.
27:21It is super chic, super feminine, very fluid, and so pretty.
27:25And elegant.
27:26It is stunning.
27:28Good job, Jeremy.
27:30Thank you, guys.
27:31Ken, tell us about your inspiration and your look.
27:35I got my sketchbook, and I sat by the river stream.
27:38And I glanced up, and I saw the different cliffs,
27:41and the different layers and everything.
27:43And that's what actually inspired the structure detail that goes on here.
27:47I'm sorry.
27:48I am not thrilled with this look.
27:51This part here is very heavy.
27:54Can I see her in profile?
27:56It's so heavy.
27:57It's overpowering this dress.
27:59I had written on my card, I said, frog queen.
28:03You know, it looks sort of like a squished frog to me,
28:06with the red squirting out.
28:08This is a part of a woman's body that sometimes likes to be uncrowded.
28:12I don't know.
28:12It would have been nice to see that construction used in another way.
28:15Do you see how this is very heavy up here?
28:18That's the reason I bought the red and the blackish.
28:22But it's not just the color.
28:24You know, it's a lot of fabric to have it right on her chest.
28:27And the fabric, which sort of looks like a camo,
28:30is camouflaging your work.
28:33Thank you, Ken.
28:35Alexander, tell us about your inspiration and your look.
28:37Well, I was sitting there in the campsite at night,
28:40looking up at the stars,
28:41and I realized I was looking through the silhouette of trees.
28:44I hand-painted a silhouette of branches all along her
28:47that would symbolize trees, basically.
28:49So it's essentially trees at midnight.
28:52I have to say, the fit on this dress is ridiculous.
28:55It is so good.
28:56Is that a good thing?
28:57In a good way.
28:57Okay.
28:58I wasn't 100% sure of the leather piece
29:01that is attached on the back.
29:03It's not that I hate it.
29:04I just, I could go either way with it.
29:07I actually really like the leather on the bottom.
29:09I think it's really cool.
29:10It grounds it.
29:11It makes it kind of earthy to me.
29:12I love the collar and the sleeves.
29:14Yeah, the little details on the sleeve and around the neck.
29:17Oh, my. Love that.
29:17They're perfect.
29:19I'm crazy about this dress.
29:20I think the dress fits very well.
29:24I think it moved very well.
29:26That being said, I sort of disagree with the two ladies.
29:29I'm not that wowed by the hand painting.
29:33I think it looks like a cool, long black dress.
29:37I don't know.
29:38I like it.
29:38The black painting on it, it elevates it.
29:41It makes it a little more special.
29:44I agree.
29:45Of course you do.
29:47Yes.
29:47Good.
29:48As you should.
29:49Yes.
29:50I think there's something very dramatic about this dress.
29:54Dark and sexy.
29:55I think it's impeccably made.
29:57I have no idea how she got inside the dress.
29:59Did you sew her inside?
30:01It's a side zip.
30:03Fabulous.
30:03Good.
30:04Very nicely put on.
30:05Very nice.
30:06Very, very nice.
30:06Beautiful.
30:08Justin, tell us about your inspiration and your look.
30:11The river that we were next to, I was very fascinated with how the water is interacting with the walk.
30:18And I wanted to translate that into this garment.
30:20What is the lace made out of, the white stuff?
30:24It's actually glue guns.
30:27In the past, I've been safe.
30:29Too many times, this time around, I just wanted to push myself.
30:33And it just creates the illusion of the water.
30:37I admire experimentation and creativity, but it looks like she's frothing from the hip.
30:44And this frothiness looks right there.
30:50It almost looks like she has a foaming vagina.
30:54It's just in the location.
30:56It looks like it's foaming.
30:57Rabid.
30:58Empty.
30:59I just wish you would have not used the glue gun.
31:03Looking at her hair and makeup, I know I get a better feel of what you were going for.
31:07I just think the execution of this inspiration was a little bit off the mark.
31:12Thank you, Justin.
31:15Alexandria, tell us about your inspiration and your look.
31:17Well, I was inspired by the concept of glamping.
31:22Taking camping and making it cool, modernizing basics.
31:27So with this jacket, I took denim and made it a modern denim jacket.
31:33The pant skirt concept, I like the silhouette, and I think it's modern, it's fun, it's fresh.
31:41You took a huge risk.
31:42Yeah.
31:43I think it worked.
31:44I like that you did separates.
31:46I love the way Yaa looks today.
31:47I haven't looked like this before.
31:49I love what you did with her hair.
31:50It's so perfect.
31:51And I even like the white eyeliner.
31:54I can see that on the runway.
31:56I love the fact that you chose denim as a fabric for a high fashion choice.
32:02The pants, I thought, looked a little bit like long johns.
32:05So I even saw the connection there.
32:07The back looks fantastic, modern, cool, draped in a material that's not very luxurious as denim,
32:17but you made it into a very luxurious jacket.
32:20I loved it.
32:22I couldn't tell from where I was sitting that it was denim, and I think that's a testament
32:27to your work with the material just out there.
32:30I really appreciated it.
32:32Heidi, you know that I have an issue with poopy pants.
32:35Oh, you don't like poopy pants?
32:36Yes, I don't.
32:38They totally were sold to me on the runway.
32:41I love them.
32:43And then using this chambray denim, this felt sophisticated.
32:47It felt cool.
32:48It felt like sportswear.
32:50I'm so impressed.
32:53Okay, we've heard what you had to say.
32:55We're going to take a closer look at the clothes, then have a little chat.
33:00And then we're going to call you back in a little bit.
33:02You can leave the runway.
33:06Okay, so tell us.
33:12They liked mine.
33:13They loved the fit.
33:14Gushed on his poetry.
33:15She converted Zach into, like, in poopy pants.
33:18Yes.
33:18I knew I was taking a risk with this climate, even I would be in the top.
33:28All right, let's start with the beautiful.
33:30Roberta, why don't you come forward first?
33:32Yes.
33:33We have to look at this close up now.
33:34We have to look at it closely.
33:36I mean, wowza.
33:38I love the tool trim.
33:39When Jeremy spoke to me about painting on the fabric, I had no idea that it was going to be using calligraphy.
33:47I mean, the risk of putting your actual emotional feelings into a piece of clothing is about the most literal translation of what it means to be an artist.
33:53I mean, look at the fit of this dress.
33:57It's true.
33:57And could you see all this detail when Ji Young was on the runway?
34:01I actually did see that.
34:02I loved Alexander's dress.
34:04I mean, look at the length.
34:05It's perfect.
34:06How many times?
34:06It's too short.
34:07It's too long.
34:08I mean, it's perfect.
34:09Eerie, but dramatic.
34:12I love it.
34:14And it doesn't even bother me that it's dark, and often dark dresses get lost on coverts because I think the detail makes you look closer.
34:22So we have the non-gown.
34:25Very good.
34:26And, Zach, I have to say, like you, I do not like a drop crotch pant.
34:31How fabulous is this?
34:32It works so well.
34:34This is not a safe look.
34:37I love the raw cut and the chambré.
34:40The use of denim in a high fashion design.
34:44I don't know.
34:45I loved it.
34:47Can I just say something to begin?
34:48Before you say anything, can I just make a little statement?
34:52In the case of Justin, I just, I wish I had encouraged him to reel it in.
34:58I had no idea this was going to end up being very can-can.
35:01I mean, to me, in the region, it looks like she went camping and got bit by a raccoon that had rabies.
35:08He lost his way in this, I have to say.
35:11It was probably one of those cases of, I've gone too far down this road.
35:15I have to commit.
35:16We have Ken.
35:19This should have been a strapless dress.
35:21Okay, what is this?
35:22It's wool.
35:24There's a lot of work put into this front, though.
35:26Oh, my gosh.
35:28What went wrong?
35:29I think it's a poor choice of a textile.
35:32It just feels heavy.
35:33It feels itchy.
35:34And I don't think it's sewn on so nicely.
35:36It just looks like it's whip-stitched on to the top of it.
35:41Karen.
35:42Whew, where to begin here?
35:44It's a bedsheet put on with a belt.
35:45Yes.
35:46It's what it is.
35:46What concerned me about this was how basic it is.
35:50And I have to say, if there weren't some shoulder treatment, I'm not saying this shoulder treatment,
35:55but some shoulder treatment, it becomes even more basic.
36:02All right.
36:03So we've made our decision.
36:05Good.
36:06Let's bring them back out.
36:09The six of you have the highest and the lowest scores.
36:12One of you will be named the winner.
36:16And one of you will be out.
36:22The six of you have the highest and the lowest scores.
36:25One of you will be named the winner.
36:29And one of you will be out.
36:34Alexandria, you are the winner of this challenge.
36:38We love that you gave us high fashion separates in denim.
36:42Instead of taking the nature inspiration too literally, you took a risk, and it totally paid off.
36:49You have immunity for the next challenge and cannot be eliminated.
36:52You're in.
36:53You can leave the runway.
36:54This is exactly what I needed from being on the bottom last week.
36:58This is uplifting.
36:59I feel rejuvenated.
37:02I won.
37:02I feel I remembered why I'm here.
37:09I worked hard on that.
37:10That wasn't easy.
37:12Jeremy, great job.
37:13You're in.
37:14You can leave the runway.
37:15Thank you, guys.
37:17Alexander, good job.
37:19You're in.
37:19You can leave the runway.
37:20Thank you very much.
37:26Ken, you're in.
37:30You can leave the runway.
37:32Karen, Justin, one of you will be out.
37:43Justin.
37:49I'm sorry, you're out.
37:53Karen, that means you're in.
37:54You can leave the runway.
37:58I'm in.
37:59You're in.
38:01Justin's out?
38:02Justin's out.
38:03Oh, my God.
38:06More power to him because he went so far out of his comfort zone.
38:12It was so bittersweet, though.
38:14I'm so sorry for him.
38:18I'm really sorry, Justin, that it didn't work out.
38:20We loved having you here.
38:22I wish you all the best.
38:23Thank you very much for the opportunity, and I just want to say that it's an honor for me to be here as a deaf person and being able to show that they are capable to do anything they want.
38:43So, you have inspired us all.
38:47Thank you for being here.
38:48Good luck to you.
38:50I am so not ready to go home at all now because I know I have so much more to show.
39:07I just want to thank all of you, and you will forever be my inspiration.
39:35It's too bad she's so soon.
39:44I mean, I took a risk.
39:48Then it paid off.
39:50It paid off just in ways you don't see yet.
39:52Not right now, but it paid off.
40:00I have one more sign that I learned.
40:03We.
40:03I have something very important to say that has nothing to do with the fact that you're one of the sweetest people to ever be on Project One Way.
40:22It has to do with your talent and with the fact that I believe in your talent and that I believe you need a little more time here.
40:34However, I'm using my Tim Gunn safe.
40:36All right, Tim.
40:37So, it's a happy day, despite the fact that we're all crying.
40:46Thank you, Tim.
40:50I'm speechless.
40:52The fact that Tim sees that in me really empowers me even more.
41:00I believe the judges made an error, and that's what the Tim Gunn save is all about.
41:05All right?
41:05So, we're going to move forward to the next challenge, everyone.
41:08Moving forward, I just have to work my bottom off.
41:14Let's get some here.
41:16Come.
41:16And just really show the judges what I show to Tim in the work line.
41:23It's the right thing to do.
41:25Good call.
41:26Good call.
41:27Yeah, that was awesome, Tim.
41:28Thanks.
41:29That was the right thing to do.
41:30You're welcome.
41:31Welcome back.
41:33Next time on Project One Way.
41:36Welcome to the Marie Claire Fashion Closet.
41:38It is every girl's dream.
41:40It's the most important fashion accessory of all.
41:43Shoes!
41:44I really hope the judges don't lump us together because they're both plaid pants.
41:49Don't tell me what to do.
41:50At this state, everybody is competition.
41:52A little slip up, you'll be out.
41:54Time to bring out the knives and play the game like it needs to be played.
41:58It's looking dated.
41:59Brayden's in a lot of trouble.
42:01Oh, my God.
42:02Feels frumpy-dumpy.
42:04So tortured up here.
42:05It looks like a bad bridesmaid's dress.
42:07It's gonna be a big bridesmaid's dress.
42:08.
42:14.
42:20.
42:22.
