00:01Previously on Project Runway All Stars.
00:04You'll be shopping at the Rue des Agenoux in Paris!
00:09The fact that the designers of Valentino are showing us their beautiful work is unheard of.
00:15I can't quite see this dress yet.
00:17It could be a gladiator alligator meets a Sicilian widow.
00:20It ain't working. I throw the dress on the floor.
00:27I love this dress. I love the long sleeve.
00:29It's simple elegance. She looks divine.
00:32Anthony Ryan is the winner of this week's challenge.
00:35Emilio, you're safe.
00:37Uli and Joshua, we have one more challenge.
00:41Deconstruct your gown and reinvent it into something completely different.
00:46Joshua, that dress is so nice.
00:48This dress has a lightness to it now.
00:50We were like, we hate the lining, and now you made the whole dress out of lining.
00:55Uli, you're in.
00:57Which means, I'm sorry Joshua, you're out.
01:03Thirteen of the best designers from Project Runway are back.
01:06Back for more.
01:08Back for blood.
01:09Admit it, you missed them.
01:11And this time the competition is tougher than ever.
01:14This is war.
01:16Each week their skills are tested to the limit.
01:19Hideous or fabulous.
01:22This is not a game.
01:23Nothing gets past me.
01:25Who will be cut?
01:26And who will have it all sewn up?
01:28This is Project Runway All Stars.
01:32The winning designer will have the chance to create a custom branded capsule collection with Nine West.
01:37The winner will also receive a fashion spread in Marie Claire Magazine and a position as contributing editor for one year.
01:43From Laura Mercier, an all expenses paid trip around the world to Fashion Week such as Paris, London, Milan and Tokyo.
01:50A technology suite and office space from HP and Intel to bring their creativity to life and run their business.
01:56A sewing and embroidery studio from Brothers Sewing and Embroidery to help launch their line.
02:00And a cash prize of $150,000.
02:07Oh.
02:09I made it.
02:10The last woman standing.
02:11This is like the biggest prize in the history of Project Runway.
02:14Now I want this so bad.
02:16Hello, designers.
02:17Hi.
02:18Hey, Carolyn.
02:19I never in a million years thought I would be here.
02:21I mean, I'm up against Uli and Emilio.
02:23They're both older than me.
02:25They have much more experience than me.
02:27And they're out for blood.
02:30Three months ago, 13 All Stars started this competition.
02:34Only three of you are left.
02:36Wow.
02:37The best way for a designer to present their work is with a high profile runway show.
02:42Your final challenge is to design a mini collection to showcase your talent.
02:47A designer usually spends months slaving away to create his collection.
02:52But you will get just four days.
02:56Oh.
02:57I only have four days to create a collection that can change my life.
03:02That's a lot of pressure.
03:04You'll have free reign to create whatever kind of show you want.
03:08The theme, the music, and the number of pieces that you decide to show.
03:13Oh, wow.
03:14In five days' time, your runway show must be ready to go.
03:19Oh.
03:20Your budget for your collection is $3,000.
03:23But before you shop, why don't you head back to the night hotel to clear your heads and think about your collections.
03:30You have a lot of work ahead of you, so lots and lots of luck.
03:34Thank you so much.
03:35Thank you so much.
03:36Thank you so much for coming.
03:37Oh, my gosh.
03:38It's the last time we'll see her walk away.
03:40All righty.
03:42The theme of my mini collection is going to be winter wonderland.
03:46It just sounds fun.
03:47of my mini collection is going to be Winter Wonderland.
03:51It just sounds fun.
03:52I'm gonna stick with lots of white and ivory
03:55because so far this season,
03:57I've done pretty well with those colors.
04:00This pride would not only change my life,
04:02but it would change my entire family's life.
04:05The theme of my mini collection is called
04:07Urban Plantation, about working women in America.
04:11My mother worked in a factory for 30 years,
04:13but a lot of times that type of woman
04:15does not look up to in fashion.
04:18So I chose to do a collection that's rooted
04:20in men's work clothing,
04:23because that's what a lot of women had to wear in the 40s.
04:26So I've decided that the name of my collection
04:28is gonna be The Thin Line.
04:29It's really that fine line between that dark
04:32and that light place that you balance yourself between.
04:35Let's do this.
04:36Time to shop.
04:37The money is great, but the time is not.
04:45I'm freaking out.
04:46Don't freak out.
04:47I want, like, lots of light colors, maybe a print.
04:51Ooh, no.
04:53The judges have loved what I've done so far.
04:55I'm just gonna give them a little bit more in the design
04:58and the overall feel of the collection.
04:59All right, guys, 10 more minutes.
05:04Oh, red, white, and blue.
05:05I'm designing an American collection,
05:09so I'm using classic American fabrics.
05:11I committed myself to a print.
05:13That's huge.
05:14Cottons, denims, plaids.
05:17It's not just about making pretty clothing.
05:20I want to make a statement.
05:21Controversial.
05:22That's where we go in.
05:23All right, guys, that's time.
05:25I'm excited.
05:26Thank you, boo.
05:32Wow.
05:33Oh.
05:34Oh.
05:35Tilly.
05:39Hello, designers.
05:41So Carolyn walks in, and I'm like, girl,
05:43we don't have time for this.
05:44What do you want?
05:45No twists.
05:46I don't see a button bag.
05:47What is she doing?
05:48I know you're going to do a fantastic job,
05:51but at this crucial stage, even all stars need a helping hand.
05:54So we've invited some familiar faces back into the workroom
05:59to help you.
06:03Hello.
06:04Hi.
06:05My God, you all look so rusted.
06:06You can pick one fellow designer to assist you
06:09in making your collection.
06:11Anthony Ryan, you won last week's challenge,
06:13so who would you like to help you out?
06:15I want to say this one.
06:17Would you like to come back?
06:18I love, love, love you, and I respect you so much as a designer,
06:30but I'm just right now a little too tired to...
06:34That's what I want to do.
06:36You really have to be in a dark place when you choose not to help your best friend reach his goal.
06:44Joshua is more hurt than he lets on.
06:47It's almost kind of hurt my feelings in a way,
06:49but it may have just been best for both of us.
06:52I would like to work with Kane.
06:54I think Kane's overall skill set and where he was in the competition,
06:58he's well rested and ready for a battle.
07:00Anthony Ryan, who would you like to choose next?
07:03Uli, go ahead.
07:04Casanova, would you like to come back and help me?
07:07Yes, because I'm glamorous.
07:12And finally, Emilio, who will you choose?
07:15Althea.
07:18I chose Althea because she made it all the way to the finale of her own season.
07:22So having two designers who know what it takes to put on a great show,
07:25that's a huge advantage.
07:27We all know what's at stake here.
07:29So keep working, good luck, and I'll see you soon.
07:32Good luck, guys.
07:35As soon as I saw this print, I know I loved it.
07:38Seven looks as good.
07:39Eight if I really have an extra time.
07:42It's six to eight.
07:43Six to eight.
07:44If you're six, you might look lazy.
07:46You know I love fitted, so you need to just...
07:48I love boxing.
07:49I know.
07:50So that's gonna...
07:51I'll do my best.
07:52Yeah.
07:53So the bottom line, I just want you to win.
07:54Okay, what do you want me to do at the first?
07:55Like patterns?
07:56I think I started right now.
07:57Because I never do patterns.
07:59You know what?
08:00I just drape it.
08:01Working with Casanova is definitely different because he works very much by the book.
08:07So I really need my toolbox.
08:09Toolbox?
08:10She have nothing.
08:11Look.
08:12Everybody knows.
08:13I thought that was from your daughter.
08:14Go to the shower care.
08:15All right.
08:16You want me to start draping the pant?
08:17Yes.
08:18So I'm gonna make the pocket and make sure it's exactly what you want.
08:22Round it out.
08:23Round it out.
08:24Yeah.
08:25Not too big, you know.
08:26Right.
08:27So many times in fashion, people like look to these socialites and these people's like inspiration
08:30and you're like, no, it's the working woman.
08:32My mom worked her entire life in a factory.
08:3430 years.
08:35See, that's the real heroes.
08:36You know what I mean?
08:37Like the real people you should be looking up to.
08:38Exactly.
08:39See, I never do these.
08:41What?
08:42I never do too much.
08:44For me, it's so easy.
08:45Yeah.
08:46And everything is like flawless.
08:47Yeah.
08:48Look at you.
08:49Yeah, it fits really nice.
08:51What's the goal?
08:52Get all the patterns done tonight?
08:53What are we trying to?
08:54What's like the...
08:55I think we should just keep going until...
08:57We can't go anymore.
08:58Yeah.
08:59I'm a little nervous that Uli and Anthony Ryan are quickly onto fabric.
09:04We don't have anything cut.
09:06I'm very stressed.
09:07I have a lot of work to do.
09:08Coming up on Project Runway All-Stars.
09:15I'm not sure what Casanova is doing.
09:18I would be scared.
09:20We have to show a collection in two and a half days.
09:23I have so much to do.
09:25I'm not gonna lose it.
09:26I am not gonna lose it.
09:33Ugh.
09:34Day two.
09:35Here we go.
09:36There we go.
09:37So much to do.
09:38This last challenge requires us to create not only a collection, but put together a show.
09:47We get to create whatever we want.
09:49There is no constrictions or regulations.
09:55Take them off, hang them up, and start another one.
09:58I'm not sure what Casanova is doing.
09:59He's like a baby.
10:00You know?
10:01They function for a while really well.
10:02They're high energy, and then they need food and sleep.
10:03You just have to walk around that.
10:04I question Casanova's dedication to helping Uli achieve her goal.
10:09I'm sure this you could do for Uli.
10:10What about, like, dressing?
10:11You know what I mean?
10:12Yeah.
10:13Little stuff.
10:14For me, sewing is like having sex.
10:16You need to be in the mood and motivated.
10:17And right now, I was in vacation, so I was not expecting to do that again.
10:23Hello, designers.
10:24Hello, designers.
10:25What an extraordinary three months.
10:26There are three of you left.
10:27You're designing your own show and your own collection.
10:30I can't wait to see you next time.
10:31I'm sure this is the same thing.
10:32I'm sure this is the same thing you can do for Uli.
10:33I'm sure this is the same thing you can do for Uli.
10:34What about, like, dressing?
10:35You know what I mean?
10:36Yeah.
10:37Little stuff.
10:38For me, sewing is like having sex.
10:39You need to be in the mood and motivated.
10:40And right now, I was in vacation, so I was not expecting to do that again.
10:44Hello, designers.
10:45Hello, designers.
10:46What an extraordinary three months.
10:47There are three of you left.
10:48You're designing your own show and your own collection.
10:52I can't wait to see what you're doing.
10:54Uli, I'm going to come to you first.
10:55Hi, Joanna.
10:56Hi, Uli.
10:57We all know I love white and feathers, so I thought of, like, Mystic Winter or Winter Wonderland.
11:03So I have a lot of off-white, white, and some fake furs.
11:08Uh-huh.
11:09Uli's got so many pieces over there.
11:10I don't know what she's using.
11:11I just laugh because she always constantly is wanting to change something.
11:15This would get a belt and just, like, a skinny pen.
11:17It's fantastic.
11:18I love that jacket.
11:19What I love about this is that it's very coherent.
11:22I can totally understand the girl who wears it.
11:24Mm-hmm.
11:25But remember, it's a runway show, so you need at least one spectacular piece.
11:29Yes, thank you.
11:30All right, good luck.
11:31I can't wait to see it.
11:32And then I want you to save that little vest for me.
11:34Oh, I will.
11:35Okay.
11:36It's Joanna.
11:37Anthony Bryan.
11:38I was looking at this from afar, trying to figure out what's pulling it all together.
11:44What's the name?
11:45It feels very graphic.
11:46Well, I kind of got inspired by the last challenge, just that darkness.
11:50So it's this whole idea of taking something innocent and creating some chaos within it.
11:55This is a competition, so you have to be strategic in what you showed.
12:00How many dresses can a woman buy from the same line if they all look the same?
12:04The yellow skirt with the black peplum.
12:06Mm-hmm.
12:07How are we feeling about that?
12:08I was worried about it being too bumblebee in the end.
12:10Mm-hmm.
12:11But it almost has this very speed racer feel to it.
12:14And I actually kind of really like that.
12:16It's going to be a great show.
12:17I can't wait to watch it.
12:18Thank you, Miss Joanna.
12:19All right.
12:20Hello, Joanna.
12:21Hello, Emilio.
12:22So this looks fantastically organized.
12:24I'm still working on the order.
12:25I'm not really sure how Emilio's doing.
12:27He didn't have anything to go on the mannequin.
12:29And honestly, I would be scared.
12:31We have to show a collection in two and a half days.
12:35What's the concept of it?
12:37The collection's called Urban Plantation.
12:40Okay.
12:41And the inspiration is women to the workforce.
12:44From Plantation, Aunt Jemima, to Rosie the Riveter.
12:49I think it's probably the first time in Project Runway.
12:51I've heard that and it's really exciting.
12:54I think so.
12:55All right, good luck.
12:57Designers, I found it so inspiring to come and mentor you here in the workroom for the last three months.
13:02And I wish you the best of luck.
13:04Use every single second you have.
13:08Hi, how are you?
13:09I'm Uli.
13:10I'm Martin.
13:11Very nice to meet you.
13:12Very nice to meet you.
13:13I want to keep them light, fresh, wintery.
13:15Luminescent, yeah.
13:16Yeah.
13:17I just really trust Laura Mercy with the right styling.
13:20Like the right makeup can make or break a look.
13:23You can do a very pale but luminescent skin.
13:26Mm-hmm.
13:27And then we can achieve it with powders and other creams.
13:29Yes.
13:30Perfect.
13:31It's very American, huh?
13:32Very American.
13:33We should keep it modern but go retro.
13:34Yes.
13:35Go with the red lip, beautiful skin, beautiful eyebrows, and then keep everything else very clean.
13:40Maybe even using this idea of pointillism to kind of give that idea of the specs.
13:45Okay.
13:46The whole thing is just gray.
13:47Right.
13:48I think they'll look really chic that way.
13:52Okay, guys.
13:53That's it.
13:54Let's go back to my hotel.
13:55Day two is over.
13:56Fudge.
13:57Thanks, babe.
13:58Get your bag.
13:59We gotta go.
14:00So tired.
14:01Me too.
14:02Yee-haw.
14:03So, let's make a toast for you guys.
14:04The finalists.
14:05The final three.
14:06Absolutely.
14:07Cheers.
14:08Thanks for coming back and getting up so early and being in there with us.
14:10To a successful day tomorrow.
14:11It's not over, kids.
14:12No.
14:13Oh, yeah.
14:14You're only there tomorrow.
14:15Tomorrow will be all yours.
14:16Yeah.
14:17I will make you 25 dresses if you want.
14:18I don't have enough fabric for that.
14:19Before you want.
14:20Oh, okay.
14:21Oh, my goodness.
14:22All right.
14:23All right.
14:24You're going to have a toast for you guys.
14:25To toast for you guys, the finalists.
14:27The final three.
14:28Absolutely.
14:29Cheers.
14:30Thanks for coming back and getting up so early and being in there with us.
14:31To a successful day tomorrow.
14:32It's not over, kids.
14:33No.
14:34Yeah, you're only there tomorrow.
14:35Tomorrow will be all yours.
14:36Yeah.
14:37I will make you 25 dresses if you want.
14:38I don't have enough fabric for that.
14:39Oh, okay.
14:40Oh, my goodness.
14:41All right.
14:42Day three.
14:43Let's make some beautiful.
14:45Do you want to put your girl last?
14:48That's where we should put it.
14:49Althea and I, we have a really collaborative relationship.
14:55I just love the way we work.
14:57So organized.
14:59Why we don't do hand stitching here?
15:02We can do machine.
15:03It's really easy.
15:04I know, but from here to take it from here to the machine, it's going to lose a lot of sequence.
15:08No, let's do it really quickly.
15:09I'm putting this together right now.
15:11The black and blue one's done except for the closure.
15:14Okay.
15:15Is that for Xana's done?
15:16Yep.
15:17Okay.
15:18Kane is phenomenal to work with.
15:20He's refreshed.
15:21He's ready to go.
15:22And he's quick.
15:27Can I, can you put it properly so I can see the collar?
15:30This is one.
15:31This needs a top.
15:32And this whole pen's way big needs to be changed.
15:34Oh, you had such a strong collection.
15:35You saved my life.
15:36It's time for the assistants to leave.
15:37And now I have to finish this collection by myself.
15:38Thank you, sir.
15:39You're welcome.
15:40I'm sorry I have to go.
15:41Oh, wow.
15:42I still have so much to do.
15:43I really just don't know how I'm going to get it done without Kane.
15:44See you at the show.
15:45See you at the show guys.
15:46See you at the 511 show guys.
15:54how I'm gonna get it done without Kane.
15:56See you at the show.
15:58See you at the 501Y show, guys.
16:15The last two days in the workroom is total chaos.
16:18Is it hot in here or is it me?
16:20Fear is just kicking in like crazy.
16:23We all so stressed out.
16:25Everybody's just focusing on getting their outfits done.
16:29Ain't no free ride on this train.
16:32Everybody gotta work.
16:33The whole point of me being here is to win the whole thing.
16:36My parents worked really hard so my brothers and I
16:39can have the kind of life that we enjoy.
16:43And this would be an amazing gift back
16:46to my father and my mother.
16:48Julie, what you working on?
16:50On the Sasquatch collection.
16:52I grew up behind the Berlin Wall and there was no freedom of mind.
16:57There was no creativity.
16:59You were held basically in a dark box.
17:01I actually have risen to the sky and I'm walking on clouds now
17:06and I'm in a very happy place.
17:07But the price is too big to ignore.
17:10And I have a nice thick empty suitcase for all that money.
17:14All right, gotta hurry.
17:15I just don't know where my life's going right now.
17:18For me, it's either I win or I just don't do this anymore.
17:21Because I don't have the resources financially to be able to continue and that's what's driving me at this point.
17:26Ooh la la.
17:31I have to put in these two zippers and these dresses otherwise I'm screwed.
17:37I don't know how I'm gonna get these eight looks together.
17:46I still have a jumpsuit to cut and make, a dress and a coat.
17:51All right, we don't have 15 minutes.
17:53Oh my God.
17:54We're on.
17:55We need to make one more outfit.
17:57It's seven looks but every look has at least two or three pieces.
18:01Good, it looks like the Yeti is in the box.
18:04It's gonna be a miracle if I get this done.
18:07Close up your boxes.
18:08Gotta get some sleep.
18:10Coming up on Project Runway All-Stars.
18:15This is the moment.
18:16We have three hours.
18:17It's like the make it or break it time.
18:19I'm cutting corners wherever I have to.
18:22Oh my God.
18:23I mean, I'm gonna throw up.
18:25Today's the big day.
18:31Right here.
18:32Come on, Lily.
18:33It's my first time in Gotham Hall.
18:36It's such an amazing building.
18:38It's very, like, architectural.
18:40It's a perfect venue for our event.
18:41Oh, wow.
18:42It's really cool to just take it in.
18:44I mean, this is the moment.
18:45This is what we've all worked so hard for,
18:47that chance to change everything.
18:49We gotta get in there.
18:50Oh, look.
18:51How about you?
18:52Wow.
18:53Oh, wow.
18:54We have three hours.
18:55Everybody's in there.
18:56Oh, my God.
18:57Oh, my God.
18:58Oh, my God.
18:59Oh, my God.
19:00Oh, my God.
19:01Oh, my God.
19:02Oh, my God.
19:03Three hours, everybody has a long list of things to do.
19:06I still have to put a jacket together.
19:09I'm cutting out linings, not doing shoulder pads.
19:12I'm cutting corners wherever I have to,
19:14because if I don't have a jacket,
19:16the model won't have a look.
19:18Hey.
19:19Hello.
19:20Hi.
19:21OK, y'all, get your beautiful makeup.
19:26A lot of color, strong eyebrows.
19:28Maybe a little bit more even on that side.
19:33It's that whole idea of taking something so innocent
19:38and putting chaos into it.
19:42Kind of cool looking and creatures.
19:45Yeah.
19:46They're all going to have, like, a Durag tie.
19:50I think Dorothy Dandridge.
19:51Dorothy Dandridge.
20:0230 minutes to runway.
20:05I'm sweating.
20:07I'm frantic.
20:08Oh, my God.
20:09I mean, I'm going to throw up.
20:12Now, hold the waist.
20:13I need it at the waist first.
20:14I want to win so bad, it's scary to even think.
20:28Perfect.
20:29I love you all.
20:30You look fantastic.
20:31Good luck.
20:32Good evening, ladies and gentlemen.
20:42Three months ago, 13 all-star designers returned to Project Runway
20:47to showcase their talents.
20:49Only three remain.
20:51They're all hoping to win the biggest prize in Project Runway history.
20:56Let's meet tonight's judges.
20:58Please welcome the designer and co-founder of Marquesa,
21:02the gorgeous Georgina Chapman.
21:09And one of the most famous names in fashion, designer Isaac Mizrahi.
21:18To help us make this major decision tonight,
21:21we have two guest judges.
21:23The first comes from the worlds of music, movies, and fashion.
21:27Please welcome the beautiful Liv Tyler.
21:34Next.
21:35Her family's business empire is one of the world's most recognized fashion brands.
21:41Please welcome model and actress Margarita Missoni.
21:45Our designers were given just four days to put their collections together.
21:55Enjoy the show.
22:05Good evening, everyone.
22:06My name is Emilio Sosa.
22:07And my collection is inspired by two iconic American females,
22:12Ann Chemaima, 1840s, and Rosie the Riveter, 1940s.
22:17The collection is called Urban Plantation. Enjoy.
22:20Thank you for your presentation.
22:21Enjoy.
22:22.
22:50Whoa.
23:00What did you tell them before they went out there?
23:02Are they stronger than you've ever walked before?
23:04Leave it on the runway.
23:05We have one time, one shot.
23:20We have one time, one shot.
23:50Well done.
23:57That's amazing what you've achieved.
24:08How is everyone?
24:16My name is Anthony Ryan Auld.
24:19This has probably been one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had, and I'm so proud
24:24to show you this collection.
24:26The title of it is The Thin Line.
24:29The Thin Line is a production of the Thin Line.
24:38The Thin Line is a production of the Thin Line.
24:48The Thin Line is a production of the Thin Line.
24:50The Thin Line is a production of the Thin Line.
24:52The Thin Line is a production of the Thin Line.
24:53The Thin Line is a production of the Thin Line.
24:54The Thin Line is a production of the Thin Line.
24:55The Thin Line is a production of the Thin Line.
24:56The Thin Line is a production of the Thin Line.
24:57The Thin Line is a production of the Thin Line.
24:58What do you want to say to yourself that was on the previous season of Project Runway?
25:16Good attempt, but we did better this time.
25:19So how do you think that you improved so dramatically?
25:23Practice.
25:24And especially now with All-Stars, I really have a sense of who I am.
25:27You know, as a designer.
25:29Right.
28:15It's an astonishing achievement.
28:17I'm really happy.
28:37The winter collection could be in any runway, anywhere in the world, and we'll get applause.
28:44It was a big achievement in four days.
28:46The fin line was sexy, modern.
28:49It had sort of like a mod, Mondrian sort of feel, but let me tell you, those seams were
28:53not easy to make.
28:54Emilio's collection made the most sense to me.
28:56It was very directional.
28:58It definitely told a story, and it was a very strong story.
29:01Coming up on Project Runway All-Stars.
29:06I love things when they're feminine and sexy.
29:08Where you go wrong is where it goes junior.
29:11Be careful with afterthoughts.
29:12Absolutely astonished.
29:14Designers, you've all proved yourselves worthy of that All-Stars title, but unfortunately,
29:25only one of you can be crowned that winner.
29:28We're going to critique each of you with your collections, and we're going to start with
29:33Emilio.
29:35Anthony, Ryan, and Uli, you can wait in the VIP lounge backstage.
29:39Georgina, we'll start with you.
29:49What a spectacular job.
29:52I actually got very emotional watching what you all did tonight.
29:56I often questioned who was Emilio during the show, didn't I?
29:59And, you know, I was wrong, because you really do have a point of view.
30:03I love the way that you play with a bodice over a shirt.
30:06The red jumpsuit is divine, so good for you.
30:09You've really shown it to me tonight.
30:11I'm so pleased that when given the chance, you showed us something so focused.
30:17To me, it felt like the most political collection we've seen tonight.
30:20I wanted to show the entire collection on women of color, because that was the first vision
30:26of beauty that I saw in my eyes.
30:28Wonderful, absolutely wonderful.
30:30It's just so beautifully constructed.
30:32I love that you have some more commercial looks and some more editorial looks, and the
30:38trench is perfect.
30:39I really loved the use of color, and I loved a lot of the silhouettes and the shapes, the
30:44pencil skirts, the red jumpsuit, the shoulder detail.
30:47I could see a lot of these looks on young pop stars today.
30:51There is a very specific woman wearing all these pieces, but there is not much experimentation.
30:57I think where you go wrong a little bit in the collection is where it goes junior.
31:02I think that's your weakest moment, but I really think you've done an exceptional job.
31:08Emilio, you can head backstage, and we'll call out Anthony Ryan.
31:12Well, thank you very much.
31:13I've done everything I could to show the strongest collection.
31:17I made them take notice of who I am, and that, for me, is empowering.
31:26Georgina, we'll start with you.
31:28This is such a spectacular collection you've given us.
31:32The opening look was absolutely extraordinary.
31:35That dress blows my mind.
31:38It's like the best dress I think I've ever seen on Project Runway.
31:41Will you turn around?
31:42I mean, it's so sexy.
31:44I love things when they're kind of covered up, but you still feel sexy in them.
31:48It's unique, but immediately very appealing, and that's not an easy thing to achieve.
31:55Also, the placement of those pockets is shockingly sophisticated.
31:58Was that a mistake?
32:00No.
32:01I can't believe that you came up with that.
32:03I'm so jealous of you.
32:04I feel like I'm looking at a contemporary art collection.
32:07You're an artist.
32:08One place you let yourself down was in your finale look.
32:12It starts puckering on the hem, and everything else has such precise lines.
32:16The fabric, but also the cut.
32:18I think here you're trying to please too many people.
32:21I have a problem.
32:22I need to see a repetition of some length.
32:25Okay.
32:27You can head back to the VIP lounge, and we're going to call out Uli.
32:30This has got to be one of the most nerve-wracking moments ever.
32:35And I'm just thinking about how this would change everything.
32:38It's just driving me insane.
32:43Isaac, we'll start with you.
32:44Uli, I can't believe how great this collection is.
32:47I just love it.
32:48How do you make people laugh or cry over textures, you know?
32:51I'm absolutely astonished about what you have managed to achieve in four days.
32:56And to give us such a concise collection with such a strong point of view is just extraordinary.
33:03On your first look, it was as if this kind of winter wonderland had come.
33:08And I was just crazy over what you had done around the neckline.
33:12It's like a beaded lace and Swarovski pieces on top of it.
33:17I love the fairytale quality of it.
33:20And that sweater, I would wear it day or night.
33:24Hair and makeup is for sure the most interesting today.
33:28Let's go to Liv Tyler.
33:30I'm completely blown away by the detail.
33:32And I found this to be very cinematic.
33:35And the dress is just, whew, it's beautiful.
33:38It's really an Oscar dress.
33:40This is stunning.
33:41Would you mind turning around for me, please?
33:43This detail of the feathering towards the back neckline is so fine.
33:49But the jewel on the rear, be really careful with going into too much of those afterthoughts.
33:55You've relied heavily upon faux furs.
33:58And I think they look a little inexpensive to me.
34:01But the collection is really just dreamy.
34:05I think you did a fantastic job.
34:07It's time for the judges to deliberate.
34:09You can return to the VIP lounge backstage.
34:13I'm very proud of my designs.
34:15I mean, I'm getting closer and closer.
34:17I think I can win this competition.
34:19It makes me feel really good.
34:21And I'm excited.
34:24Ladies and one gentleman.
34:27Those were three of the best runway collections we've seen.
34:30It's going to be really tough tonight.
34:33Emilio, I felt he was always in control.
34:35He's behind that wheel and he knows where he's going.
34:38I love that collection.
34:39That was a surprise to me how much I love Emilio's collection.
34:41It looked so beautiful.
34:42To me, though, it wasn't exciting enough.
34:45It was very cute, very sellable.
34:48But there wasn't that thing that was like, wow.
34:51I just wished that he had taken out those junior elements.
34:54That dress felt like it was about to fall off.
34:56And to open with a look like that didn't capture you when it first came out.
35:01I like the fact that there's something very passionate about what he put together.
35:05Of the three designers, he, like, actually gave us this kind of political situation.
35:11I appreciate a young designer going, excuse me, this is my opportunity to say something.
35:15I'm going to say what I think I need to say.
35:17I think tonight he really showed us who he was and really had listened to what we said
35:23and what we loved about him.
35:28Anthony Ryan, I felt, was the most kind of fashion of the three collections.
35:33It felt like the newest collection of the three.
35:35It felt like such a pure stream of consciousness.
35:38It was just one thought.
35:40What I loved was also that print.
35:41You're right, he gave it a vulnerability because everything else was so severe.
35:45And then this gave it an emotion, that print.
35:48I will say, though, I was very disappointed in his finale dress.
35:52The two layers.
35:53And then the, like, sort of ruffled edge or there was some sort of scalloping.
35:57And then I think he also went awry a bit in the middle.
36:01With the length.
36:02It was a bit disturbing.
36:03Yeah, it was like, you know, here and here.
36:04And it wasn't like, you know, one was here and one was there.
36:07But Anthony Ryan is inspired.
36:09You can see that there's so much creativity sort of boiling inside his body.
36:14He's so interesting.
36:15He always has such an artistic interpretation.
36:23The last collection from Uli was, to me, like, the most kind of emotional and psychological.
36:28Uli has this magic spirit.
36:31And it's so important to make people dream.
36:34That's, like, what we do.
36:36We have to make people stop thinking about their daily worries and make them dream about another fabulous world.
36:42And she definitely has that quality.
36:45She always manages to kind of take us to that almost psychological place that you go to.
36:50And it makes her so interesting and refreshing.
36:53But it looked like looks I've seen before.
36:55It was a bit of a student's collection.
36:58I expect so much of Uli, because I have seen her do things that you could not believe came from where they came.
37:04She's got Christmas decorations and made a dress that honestly looked like it belonged in Couture Week.
37:10I think that we're in three such distinct collections.
37:17There's something about Uli's world that I respond to.
37:21She's experimenting.
37:22She's trying things.
37:24Emilio really hit home tonight.
37:26That confidence coming from him really struck me.
37:29I like that he went right for it, you know?
37:31I agree.
37:32I really have mixed feelings.
37:34Anthony Ryan was very severe, but sexy.
37:37The contrast is always interesting.
37:39We have to make a decision.
37:41This is really the hard part.
37:43I think we have.
37:44I think we know what we're going to do about the women.
37:45I really do.
37:56Designers.
37:57Three months ago, you joined us as all-stars.
38:02You created looks inspired by graffiti, the 1920s, and haute couture.
38:08You were critiqued by everyone, from Diane von Furstenberg and Jason Wu to Kylie Minogue and Katie Holmes.
38:18If that wasn't enough, you also flew to Paris.
38:22It's been an unprecedented season.
38:25And now, one of you will win the biggest prize in Project Runway history.
38:40One of you will win the biggest prize in Project Runway history.
38:47The second runner-up of Project Runway All-Stars is...
38:55Uli.
39:04Uli.
39:09Uli, you have so much to be proud of.
39:12Oh, thank you.
39:14Wow.
39:16It was such a pleasure.
39:17We love you, Uli.
39:18I have no regrets. I'm not mad or sad about this. I'm very happy I got to show a collection
39:24that even if it was scary to come here, I'm so happy I did it.
39:32And now, the moment that we've all been waiting for.
39:37The winner of Project Runway All-Stars is...
39:48Anthony Ryan!
40:03Congratulations, Anthony Ryan!
40:07Really?
40:11Congratulations, baby!
40:15Thank you, man!
40:18Thank you, Emilio.
40:20You're amazing.
40:21I'm the first runner-up. Do I believe I had the strongest collection? Yes.
40:26I may not have won the prize, but my life continues.
40:29I'm a better man for being here, and I'm very grateful right now.
40:34Anthony Ryan, just watching you from week to week, your work has been so impeccable, and I am so happy for you.
40:42You have this way of just completely committing to something, like you don't question yourself,
40:47which is the best thing about you. Don't lose that.
40:51I hope that I get to be the one to wear your blue and black dress, because I love it.
40:54I love it.
40:55It was amazing.
40:56It's been very cool to just stand in front of y'all and to be able to get that back, you know?
41:03You don't need us. You really don't. You think you do, but you don't.
41:07We actually have somebody else who would like to congratulate you.
41:11It's Joanna.
41:11Oh, my God.
41:14Well done. It's so exciting.
41:17I know.
41:17I'm so thrilled for you.
41:19Oh.
41:19Mwah.
41:26Project Runway All-Stars has given me a second chance to do what I love, and I was faced with
41:32a lot of challenges, and it's those crazy-ass times that you really find the best of yourself.
41:40I couldn't have done it without you.
41:42Aw.
41:42It was beautiful.
41:43Oh, my God.
41:45I came to this not expecting anything out of it except coming back to design, wanting
41:50to show a collection, and I'm going to be able to do more.
42:12Bye.
42:14Bye.
42:14Bye.
42:15Bye.
42:19Bye.
42:19Bye.
42:23Bye.
42:31Bye.
42:31Bye.
