 This card is made for the current Creatalicious Fall challenge.  The image is from Di's Digi Downloads, it's called Daisy Mistie.  I added some strips of gold glitter paper and a square of black glitter paper.  You can't really see the flower paper behind the cute mouse.  I added some gems on each end of the strips.

2 More Birthday Cards

 I have two more birthday cards made up for my December Co-Workers.

This one, when asking what she would like to see on her birthday card, she answered with the following:

1. Favorite Color(s) or color combo(s)?  Blue mainly, but also pink and purple
2. Hobbies?  I enjoy reading and watching TV/movies
3. Funny/Punny or Serious?  More on the serious side
4. Pets?  Kids?  1 granddog, 2 adult kids & 3 grandkids
5. Do you collect things, if so, what?  I collect coffee mugs from various vacation spots
6. Sports team? Soccer, also BSU football
7. Food?  Chocolate, coffee (hot/iced)

Since coffee was mentioned more than once, and I do know she loves her coffee I went with that.  I also went with the travel theme (she collects them on her travels) and I went with blue.    The mugs were cut using my Cricut using various travel type papers.  I added a touch of lace, a single flower, some sequins and some pearls.

The second card I made (her birthday actually falls on Christmas day), she answered with the following:

• I like my Purple and NE Patriots colors. 

• 7^th Grandchild is due around my birthday (Pray it will be early & healthy) 

• I’ve been trying to do more crafts with my Cricut. 

• Elvis is my current passion.  Graceland was awesome, Peabody ducks at the Peabody Hotel was so much fun (Check YouTube). 

• I LOVE to travel out of state to explore new places. 

• Tonight I am starting my first assignment as a volunteer at the Morrison Center.

Oh, as a side note, as for the Morrison Center; This is where Broadway in Boise, the Philharmonic, some traveling comedians, etc... perform.  Her first night volunteering was for Broadway In Boise for the production of Jesus Christ Super Star.

To give a little background, I've worked with this lady for over 17 years now.  Her husband is a DJ for one of our local country music stations.  She has been a patriots fan for ever (she is from New England) but Brady has been her not so secret crush forever too.  However, I think I've made her a patriots/Brady card every year for the last several years.  I did let her know I really wanted to do something different for her this year.  Luckily, for me, she gave me some fun ideas to work with.  I went with the Elvis and purple theme.  I kept the card fairly simple, but it still looks sort of busy.  I added flowers, gold gems, ribbon, twine and music notes.

Hanging Window Birthday Shaker

 I made this card specifically for the current Butterfly Challenge.  I thought it looked like an interesting challenge.  The letter was "H" so this is what that meant (showing their picture):

I did pretty much everything except for the heat embossing.  I did a hanging window, I used the colors and I added butterflies.  :)  When I first started this project I, of course, instantly thought of how I could turn this into a shaker card.  LOL  Well, I figured it out.  I used a small bag I found on my desk (I think some gems were in it, maybe..?).  I used a fun birthday die set from Tutti Designs, I also used a round stitched die.  I added some shimmer onto the butterflies and flowers.  I then added some flowers and a bow.

How refreshing to NOT do something Halloween or Christmas (says the lady sitting here in her halloween costume.  LOL)

Another Googly Eyed Monster

 I made a second Googly eyed monster shaker card using a monster and cobweb from Cricut.  I added some fun gems, spiders, washi tape and ribbon.  I think I may like the first one I made better, but this sure did turn out cute too!  Some of the shaker elements came from Glitter Lambs, some I already had on hand.

Googly Eyed Monsters

 The "EYES" have it on this card!!  I used my Cricut to do the monsters, web and sentiment, as in they are all from Cricut and cut using my Cricut.  LOL   I added the Googly eyes to the monsters along with some shimmer, using a CTMH shimmer pen.  Inside the shaker part I used Troll Eyes from Glitter Lambs, sequins and smaller googly eyes.  For some reason, the colors bring me back to the 80's.  LOL

Sassy and Witchy

 Oh my how I do love this adorable witch set that is new at Jan's Digi Shop!!  This is Candy Corn Witch, here is what is in the set, including the uncolored images:

I used the precolored witch, but colored the candy cane and the "Boo!".  I also added some leaves from the new truck set that was released last month.  I turned this into a shaker card.  I added some of the same sequins inside the shaker, to the outside.  I also added a bow and some flowers.

From the Sunny Shores

 This is a Christmas card I NEEDED to make since I will NOT bed here in Idaho for Christmas.  Instead, I will be on a cruise ship and/or on the Sunny Shores of Mexico!  Sun, Sand, Drink in my hand VA-CA-TION!  😄😄😄

For this card I used a pre-colored image including paper from The Paper Shelter called Summery.  Nothing like altering a Summer image and turning it into a Christmas card, huh?  LOL  I added some other glittery papers that I have no clue where they came from, they were in a drawer of glitter papers.  LOLI added gems and ribbons and flowers.  I also used a lace border punch and a tag punch.

Belated Birthday Cards

 My co-worker has two kids who have birthdays in the same month.  She, and they have been so busy that she did not call them on the days of their birthdays.  Being the mom she is, she felt terrible!!  She asked me to make her 2 cards (one for each).  I decided to use two of the  QKR SNAILS I have, one works perfect for a boy (Happy Snail), the other works perfect for a girl (One Man's Trash).   I let my Cricut do the writing for me.  I added some rickrack and ribbon on the girl card and just ribbon on the boy card.  I used a CTMH shimmer pen on the snails.

Freshly Baked Paper and Sticker Pack

 I received this fun Freshly Baked set from CTMH in the mail not too long ago (maybe early this week?).  I just haven't had the time to get it out to play with it until today.  So, I made 4 cards.  I will post them in order by my favorite...Let me know what you think!

I obviously used a few more things than what was in the paper/sticker pack, I used ribbon, twine, a doily, sequins, gems, rickrack, solid cardstock and glitter paper.  The rest (images and papers) came in the pack.  The Bakers Gonna Bake card will be going to my sister and her family (their last name is Baker, and my sister loves to cook).

2 Birthday Cards

 Good morning!  Happy Fall!

I made two birthday cards for two of my co-workers' birthdays.  For the first one, when asking what she wanted on her birthday card this year she replied with "Ok let see, favorite color is black and white, hobbies, no I’m in to gardening, Dogs and sports team I have to say 49ERS and my favorite food is Chinese."  I went with the black and white and gardening (sort of), I chose to add just a touch of red...just because.  I used 3 DPs from CTMH a Precious Moments image, some red pearls, some black Onyx Liquid Pearl (as black pearls), I used a lady bug die cut, for the sentiment I used a punch from Stamp'in Up that does the indents on the sides, and I added 3 roses.  I used the sketch from Moving Along With The Times as my inspiration.

For my other birthday card, when asking my co-worker what she wanted on her card this year, she replied with "

1. Favorite Color(s) or color combo(s)?  I have been super into sage green lately, and just green in general! My other favorite is light pink.

 

2. Hobbies?  I am a big fan of reading, long walks, the Farmer’s Market, and shopping in general lol. My boyfriend and I live right next to the green belt, which is super great for us to walk along to get to the dog park and a lot of fun events downtown. When it gets cooler out, I love to curl up with a good book or listen to a podcast.

 

3. Funny/Punny or Serious?  I love serious or funny.

 

4. Pets?  Kids?  I have a cutie pie all black border collie/huskie/who knows dog named Doc (after Doc Holiday). He is a spoiled only child who gets all the bones and walks in the world (cause he is indeed, a Good Boy).

 

5. Do you collect things, if so, what?  I do love collecting fun crystals and rocks! My boyfriend always snags me a cool rock from anywhere we travel. I have a little collection of them on a shelf 😊 My favorite is citrine, which also happens to be my birth stone!

 

6. Sports team?  I am not a big sports fan! I suppose BSU by default, but really I mostly go to sports events for the food LOL.

 

7. Food?  I AM a big food fan 😉 My favorite would have to either be Thai or Mexican food. I love all things spicy!

Funny how some of my co-workers fill in the questions I ask and other's don't.  LOL  Anyway...I went with green, reading and border collie.  I turned her card into a shaker card.  The collie is from a set I got from CraftsUPrint.  The book was a draw and cut from Cricut and I did my own sentiment.  The roses I found in one of my MANY drawers of goodies (My craft room is over flowing with drawers of goodies).
