If Warren is endorsing someone instead of pulling a hisssssss like she did with Bernie then you absolutely know he's 100% shit even if the nazi tattoo didn't convince you

Yeah I thought she didn’t endorse Bernie because he was so sexist. Maybe she hasn’t seen Platner’s Reddit

It's for chuds that don't like when libs call them Nazis can now soypoint-1 at libs "being the real Nazis"

Edit: which was your point, I suppose

This is an aspect I wanted to zoom in on. So Fox News, which has brain-broken your parents and grandparents into thinking there is no such thing as fascism and that's just a bad word that liberals call you, and libs are being hysterical when they call someone a Nazi, can actually recognize a Totenkopff when they see one?

they are now aware of one specific totenkopf on one specific person, that specific totenkopf is bad. they will never engage with any other totenkopf in any other context until told to

you cannot underestimate this specific strain of boomer and that's not a warning, it's literally impossible

You're right on the mark here and it's important for me to keep this in mind now as I'm low key being expected to show up at an extended family function coming up and it's like, I don't know if that's going to happen familia :D

The inconsistency is half the point. They don't really have beliefs. They have things they say to indicate that they are part of the in-group that should be protected but not bound by the law

I've def heard the "who this is for" demographic elaborate that point in a specific context without even realizing they were saying this or thinking that someone might not agree with the sentiment.

The average fox news viewer is a boomer who grew up on stories of heroic Americans defeating Nazis, they are seen essentially as cartoon villains who disappeared in 1945. This headline is just "look how comically evil Democrats are being"

Fox News getting mad about Nazi tattoos is fake outrage. Pete Hegseth has as many Nazi tattoos as Graham Platner, if not more. I would be surprised if Kegsbreath was not mandating everyone in the US military to get Nazi tattoos.

I don't trust Platner. I read through many of his deleted reddit comments and he explained on his reddit account that he knew what Nazi tattoos are and defended other people in the military having them as well.

However, the idea that Fox News is outflanking anyone on being against Nazi tattoos is absurd. You might say the headline is 'bad faith'. They're only pretending to be against Nazi tattoos. If they actually hated Nazis tattoos, they would have criticized Pete Hegseth for it.

Unless I'm mistaken and forgetting one of Pete's... Pete has "Nazi" tattoos (the crosses and "infadel") whereas Platner had a NAZI tattoo like the SS would've had on their uniform.

Distinction without difference here maybe idk

Pete Hegseth has crusade tattoos to symbolize that he's a christian fascist who is religiously motivated to kill Muslims. He thinks that the tattoos represent a war against Muslims and he wants to kill Muslims.

I don't a see a distinction between American Christian Fascists and German Fascists.

It's that thing where conservatives are nazis and love nazis, but for some their American nationalism overrides all else so they can have their cake and eat it too by rhetorically condemning one very specific historical batch of nazis and their symbols, while advocating for all the same shit. Similar to "democrats are the real racists" while also being wildly, proudly racist.

great man everything has to suck, everything has to be one flavor of nazi or another. Like I have to like the Spanish now, i have to like fucker tarlson apparently, i have to get my anti nazi news from fox news, i have to pretend things are very normal at work, i have to listen

YOU MUST VOTE FOR THE LITERAL, GENUINE NAZI TO DEFEAT TRUMP SO WE CAN GO BACK TO BRUNCH AND PRETENDING THAT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG IN THE WORLD
