Munay Ki Dub - Warning (Micronomade Remix)

Munay Ki Dub, the electronic dub trio from the mountains of central Argentina, returns with a new single/remix of their 2019 tune Warning. The 2025 remix is done by Micronomade.

Micronomade is a Dub / Reggae project born in February 2018. After 25 years of being a vocalist and reggae musician, he goes over to the production side. Micronomade is a participatory project, where he connects with national and international singers and instrumentalists (Jamaica, Germany, Japan, Chile, Spain and Barbados among others) to give the final seal to each track, which is accompanied by a video of his own realization.

Micronomade performs live dub where they create and improvise new mixes of their productions, which makes no show the same, intervening to the sounds with characteristic effects and classics of dub (filters, delays, reverbs), creating new atmospheres and new sounds.

Subset - Version 20

The New Zealand dub & dub techno producer going by the name Subset is releasing his first EP on Duophonic Records. 

He is no stranger in the independent electronic music scene, having releases on labels such as Dimbideep, Deeptakt, Drift Deeper, Arctic Dub, Telrae, Dubmission Records, ROHS!, Echogarden, Hello Strange, Deep Electronics, Superordinate Dub Waves, Tehnofonika, and his own label The Dub Factory, along with curating the net radio station Chillkyway. 

His live shows range from downtempo dub to dancefloor-ready dub techno, with tracks rearranged and augmented on the fly, utilising custom touchscreen controllers and MIDI synths triggered by live guitar. His latest was a mini tour in UK & EU, with highlights being a two-hour live set at Ozora Festival in Hungary and taking the stage to perform an impromptu jam with Children of the Bong during their live set.. 

His new 4-track dub/reggae EP is entitled Version 20 :  Four parts dub, one part deep house, equal parts minimal and techno, dusted with an organic blend of evolving atmospheres and live filtering delays. Served fresh in the Sunday sun, containing a rich & lively mix of live instruments, organs, horns and melodica. All tracks are written in 2022 and we are happy that they found their home on Dubophonic Records. We hope you will enjoy them.

Hailing from the mountains of central Argentina, Munay Ki Dub combines live instruments such as violin, melodica, percussion, bass and guitar with programming, effects and digital instruments. Their new uplifting song is entitled Take your Time.

The Business meets Dub Siren - Dub Down To Business

Dub Siren is a Dub-inspired electronic music composer, producer and remixer, a Cypriot from London now based in West Sussex. Home studio is a shed filled synthesizers, analogue hardware and old-school mixing desks.

The Dub Down To Business EP includes four remixes by Dub Siren on four tracks written by the London-Brazilian production trio The Business. The Business serve up irresistible dancefloor-ready electronic music drenched in analogue soul, groovin' basslines, vintage synths and recycled 70s vocals that will have you jackin’ your body and pumpin’ your fists to the high heavens.

The original tracks are included in their debut album ‘Get Down To Business’ - a heady mix of 80s-influenced groove, electro, disco and funk, all brought together by their clever knack of sampling, cutting & reshaping it all into something brand new.

On the remix EP Dub Down To Business, Dub Siren brings his Tubby-inspired trippy soundscapes to the party and transforms the band’s retro-dancefloor grooves into deep, dubby explorations of space and time.

Muflon Dub Soundsystem - Streams Of Living Water

Muflon Dub Soundsystem, the musical project from Poland, delivering positive Dub and Roots Reggae inspired sounds since early 2000s, returns in 2024 with a new selection of musical works. The new single of Muflon Dub Soundsystem is entitled Streams Of Living Water.

It takes us to the waters to chill out and heal our spirits. Living waters seem to flow in this piece of music, whispering about Jah blessing and guidance. The single come in four versions, each one having different degree of intensity. Let your mind rest a little bit, while listening to the sound!

Munay Ki Dub - Peace And Dub (live)

Munay Ki Dub is an electronic dub trio, representing a new breed of dub artists. Hailing up from the mountains of central Argentina, they combine live instruments such as violin, melodica, percussion, bass and guitar with programming, effects and digital instruments. The name comes from the South American Quechua language and means “I Love Dub”.

Love & Dub is their new single and is recorded live during one of their concerts in Argentina last year.

Munay Ki Dub, the electronic dub trio from the mountains of central Argentina (Rebecca Clements (vocals, violin, melodica, keyboard and percussion), Alejo González (programming, keyboard, bass, effects and vocals) and Roby Torcello (guitar), returns with a new single/remix of their 2019 tune Bad Babylon. 

The 2024 remix is done by Thriakis Dub Destroyer.

Founded in 2006, Thriakis Dub Destroyer is a one-man-dub project from Paris, France. Influenced by urban electronic sounds and the Reggae/dub universe, he has been working to create, define and get a solid and unique music style.

Influenced by the Electro-Dub movement, he uses his experience to produce a dub that goes further than tags and genres, adding new ways of experimentation.

iGL & Alecho - Revolution

iGL & Alecho  is an electronic music project from Athens, Greece, consisting of Konstantinos & Alexandra. The duo made its first appearance on Dubophonic Records during its live session at the Lockdown Online Festival, while their track “Time Capsule” was included in the compilation “Explorations In Dub / Lockdown dub” in year 2020. They also released in 2021 their debut album “From A Droplet”.

Their new EP is entitled “Revolution” and includes six tracks in a fine dubwise style, fusing roots reggae and dub music with electro-dub and blurring the musical boundaries. We have also included a special remix by Indamouse. It is available for free download from Bandcamp.

Sax N Dub meets Zion Irie - New Generation

Multi instrumentalist and producer Sax N Dub from Montevideo Uruguay has been playing on the sound system scene with his own productions and international collaborations since 2014, with participation in may international festivals such as Dub Camp (France), Dub Stone (Italy) Manuel dub (Sicily), Ecologikal Reggae and Reggae Live Festival (Mexico) among others.

 

Having more than 20 publications on cd, digital and vinyl and numerous collaborations with labels such as Black Redemption (USA) Bass Revelation, Invasion records and Green Beats (Mexico) and Stepping Stone (Argentina), he appears for the first appearance on Dubophonic Records with his new album New Generation, teaming up with Zion Irie on the vocals, a long-time label family artist.

 

Zion Irie, born and grew up in UK/South London (Brixton) in an African Ghana household, has already a rich musical history: collaborations with many artists (Ackboo, Kanka, Weeding Dub, Dubsynaticx, Komadub, Negritage, Red Star Martyrs, Ashley), sharing the stage with names like Horace Andy, Brother Culture and a having a few releases and appearances on our label.

 

Focusing now on the New Generation album, it consists of nine tracks written and produced in a dub-steppa militant way and presented in a showcase style: three vocal tunes featuring Zion Irie demonstrating one more time his conscious lyrical flow, three versions with the sax talking over the mix, a trademark of Sax N Dub and three heavyweight dubs!

SistaSara - You Step, I Dub

The Italian female music producer SistaSara returns in 2022 with a new EP. She was born in Venice, Italy, with Italian mother & Nigerian father. She started as a session drummer and backing vocalist in numerous bands and projects in Italy from 1995 till 2003. In Spring 2003 she moved to London, UK, where she began studying music production. The London Dub scene was a crucial influence in her music development and it is a core factor in her music identity.

She has already a few releases on Dubophonic Records: as a solo artist (Soul Stepper, Explorations In Dub Vol.2 / Lockdown Dub) and a few EPs collaborating with Dub Cmd (Deeper Understanding, Leaving Babylon Behind, Follow The  Bassline) her new EP entitled You Step, I Dub is the first release of 2022 and it is a showcase of her very personal style, influenced by UK Stepper, PsyDub and Trip Hop. It is presented in three different cuts and is available from all online music stores and streaming platforms.

Roadblock Dub Collective - Suwarnadub

Mid 2000s saw the beginning of the Roadblock Dub Collective. At that time, Iday & Sam settled in the same residence for their work at a local production house in the city of Tanjungkarang (Lampung). They had previously known each other, as fellow musicians from the Lampung scene. Iday is one of the founders of “Pimps,” the first Industrial outfit in Lampung. Together with “Pimps” he had released an album titled “Set Lampung on Fire!” in 2000. Meanwhile, Sam previously was a member of “Shooter Water,” Rocksteady-Ska music unit that is part of the “Pelita Crew” (one of the melting pots for many Lampung musicians in the late 1990s) and he released an album called “As Steady As A Rock” in 2001.

Roadblock Dub Collective was born after they used to share playlists between their working hours. Also shared insights into music production as part of their current job. Starting from the use of software, to the flow of a composition. They had released several bootlegs and remixes which were often played by local DJs at that time. Until 2009, they released their first single “Youth Culture“. A single that later brought them connected with many electronic music and Jamaican sound scenesters in the country.

The single “Youth Culture” itself indirectly encouraged them to have more intense interactions with several bedroom electronic musicians/producers in Lampung. Collectively, they often hold sets of electronic shows in various places, from music workshops at school to headliners at the biggest rave in Lampung at that time, The Beats Of Sumatera.

Having been on hiatus due to Iday & Sam moving out to different cities, Roadblock Dub Collective has just re-released their works “Mukadimah” (2015), and “Rua Jurai Echoes” (2016) for free and limited. Having held an independent mini tour in 2017, they released “Dutty Bizness” with InBassion Recs (Bass music label from Bogota, Colombia).

At this moment, Roadblock Dub Collective often shares the stage with many Indonesian dub acts, from the likes of Mantasticmate, Anjing Dub, Baxlaxboy, Radit Echoman, and Yella Sky Sound System. Together with these names they were also involved in a various artist album project; “Nusantara Dub Connection” in 2019. In this project Roadblock Dub Collective released “Intercity Dub“. Then, in June 2020, they released the single set “Sepinggungan/Russ” a collaboration with Terranova Waksman and Oddateee, a release supported by 100ribu recs. Still in the same year, Roadblock Dub Collective was involved in other various artist album projects. This time a project initiated by “Echo Chambers” (one of the oldest reggae radio shows in the United States) in collaboration with Dandada Records, a cutting edge dub music imprint from Portugal. In the project “Echo Chamber – Around The World In Dub Vol 11 & 12“, Roadblock released “Puaghi 45” along with many Dub acts worldwide.

Their first ep on Dubophonic Records is entitled Suwarnadub and it consists of six tracks: two vocal tracks (Ngelajau Dub & Achtung! Ghetto Lioness) in a fine style fusing Dancehal with Hip Hop, two dub mixes and two live dub mixes by the rising Cypriot dubmaster Sub Conscious Dub.

Munay Ki Dub is an electronic dub trio, representing a new breed of dub artists. In September 2019, Munay Ki Dub released their debut EP “MKD” with European dub label Dubophonic Records, lyrically using the English and Spanish languages as a form of political expression and social awareness/consciousness, musically gliding between digital roots reggae, dub & bass and steppa. Within the first few weeks of its release, MKD was sounding out on radios in Argentina, Peru, Mexico, Italy, Spain, UK, Ireland, Israel, Hawaii, Finland, Belgium, Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, Germany, Holland, France, Australia, Canada and the US.

This is their new EP “Groove of Meditation", which includes four new tracks. It is recorded in the mythical Los Angeles studio in Traslasierra, Córdoba, Argentina, with technical production support from renowned sound engineer Felix Valls.

Eter Dub - Eternally Wise

Eter Dub was founded by the dub master Federico Balza, in Mendoza (Argentina), a graduated musician from the Universidad Nacionalde de Cuyo with studies on classical flute and member of the OrquestRa Sinfonica Juvenil (1st flute) in Argentina. As saxophonist (tenor/alt), flutist and keyboard player he collaborated with many reggae, dub and hip-hop bands like Zona Ganjah, Downbeat and Negritage touring around the independent scene of Latin America.

After releasing his first album back in 2016, entitled In Da Name Of Jah and is collaboration with Negritage on Greetings From Planet Dub, Eter Dub returns five years later with his brand new EP.

Eternally Wise offers a new fresh breeze in dub music. Just like his previous album, his sound is referencing to his background in classical music, with flute being the main instrument in his new ep.

Being accompanied by some great musicians on the oboe, guitar and drums, Eter Dub delivers four tracks of extended length, the longest being Chilling All Day Dub with over 10 minutes of length. Magical melodies and uplifting vibes, originality and an alternative approach to dub music – This is the sound of Eter Dub!

Muflon Dub Soundsystem ft. Melana - Steppin To The Highest Region

After a successful release of their previous works compilation, time has come for some new music from Muflon Dub Soundsystem. Together with the charismatic vocalist Melana, they present a new powerful song about who we are and where we are going to.

“Steppin To The Highest Region” comes in 4 different versions. All of them give you lots of Dub effects, ambient spaces, heavy drum and bass and a very slow pace. Adding strong Roots and Biblical inspiration, conscious message and heartical vocals, the release has an upful vibe, good for meditation.

Muflon Dub Soundsystem: Reggae and Dub music project from Poland, founded by Muflon Man, Dub producer, songwriter and musician. For many years delivers Roots influenced progressive music in pursuit of Heartical Sound.

Melana: singer and songwriter from Poland. Having strong musical background and variety of artistic experience (opera and theatre career included), she started to record her own songs recently. This is where she met Muflon Man. This is first fruit of their cooperation, we hope for more songs in near future.
