A Highlight Table in Tableau is a visualisation that combines a traditional table with colour-based conditional formatting to make patterns, comparisons and important values easier to identify at a glance, allowing users to analyse large sets of numbers quickly and intuitively by using colour intensity to represent data magnitude.

  • Uses colour to represent value differences
  • Makes high and low values easy to spot
  • Helps compare data across rows and columns
  • Enhances the readability of numeric tables
  • Useful for quick pattern and trend detection
