I analyzed 1,200 abandoned carts last month. The top reason people didn’t finish their order? They couldn’t picture actually getting the package. Sounds weird, but watch how this plays out: Someone adds protein powder to their cart. Then they leave. Later, they see a retargeting ad saying “Still thinking about it?” That doesn’t help. They already know what the product is. Here’s what does help: Email subject: “Your package would arrive Thursday” Body: “Your order of [Product] ships today and arrives Thursday by 8 p.m. Here’s what happens next: Today: We pack your order in Austin Tuesday: FedEx picks it up and you get your tracking number Thursday: It’s delivered to your area Friday morning: You try it for the first time Want this timeline? Finish your order in the next 4 hours.” A supplement brand tested this against their usual cart reminder emails. The usual version said: “Don’t forget your cart! Here’s 10% off.” The new version showed the delivery timeline. Here’s what happened: 3.2x higher open rate 2.7x higher conversion rate No discount needed Why did it work? Because people can picture the product. They just can’t picture it arriving, the box on their doorstep, opening it up, trying it out. Your job is to make that moment feel real. So instead of focusing on the product in your cart emails, focus on the delivery. Help people see the package showing up at their door, sitting on their counter, being used the next day. P.S. You’re posting on social media..but you’re not getting any inbound business from it. Then this post is for you. ↓ Every successful online builder is actively building an email list. Justin Welsh Simon Squibb Codie Sanchez Matt Gray Tim Denning Nick Huber Alex Hormozi etc, etc…. Why? NO ONE wants to be controlled by algorithms on social media = people want ownership AND Because email marketing is up to 40x more effective than social media when it comes to turning leads into customers. ✅ By owning an email list, you control how you reach your audience. ❌ Social media? Not so much. Social media algorithms are constantly changing, and you don't control those platforms. And don’t get me wrong, social media is a must to enable people to FIND you. But to convert people to clients: an email list is much more effective. With email, you’ve got a direct line to your people. You can nurture those relationships without relying on third-party platforms. No middleman, no algorithm changes. You’re talking straight with them. If you’re not building an email list, you’re missing out on one of the most effective ways to monetize your audience, and build a business. So, how do you go from having followers to building a loyal email list and turning them into paying customers? Here are a few actionable tips to get you started ↓ 1️⃣ Create Irresistible Lead Magnets Offer something of value in exchange for their email address. It can be a: - free guide - checklist - webinar - exclusive content …make sure it speaks directly to your audience’s pain points or desires. 2️⃣ Launch a newsletter on Beehiiv You can literally start one today. 3️⃣ Use Social Media to Promote Your Email List Don’t just share your lead magnet once → talk about it OFTEN. Tell your followers what they’re missing if they’re not on your list. Add some urgency or offer a bonus to get them to subscribe. Make it a part of your system. 4️⃣ Nurture with Consistent, Valuable Content Once they’re on your list, don’t just sell. Give them content they can actually use. And LEARN from. The more value you provide, the more trust you’ll build, and the more likely they are to buy from you down the line. Show people you understand them. Make yourself the go-to. Many people think they should do the opposite: Keep things behind a wall until people buy. ❌ That won’t build your business and it won’t build your email list. ✅ Share loads of value, and you will get more customers. 👉 Treat your emails list like an a$$et Treat your email list like the valuable asset it is. Ask for input. Encourage people to reach out. Make an effort to understand and respect people’s time. Don’t write super long essays (no on has time). Write newsletter editions people can skim read. Show up regularly in their inbox. Want examples how? 👉 Go here (it's free): https://lnkd.in/dUPYinYi

Email still delivers strong ROI. What’s changed is how leading teams are using it. Here are 7 modern and practical email strategies you can use now and into 2026. 📩 1. AI-Driven Decisioning An example is “next best offer.” Use real-time, historical, and behavioral data to determine the most relevant content, offer, or CTA. Instead of sending the same message to everyone, tools like Movable Ink personalize content based on what users have or haven’t done. 📈 2. Product-Led Lifecycle Messaging Trigger emails based on what users do inside your product. If someone signs up but doesn’t activate, send a reminder. If they complete onboarding but skip a key feature, follow up. Email becomes part of the product experience. 🧱 3. Modular Templates + Guard Rails Stop building emails from scratch. Modular templates let teams assemble emails using approved, no-code blocks. Platforms like Knak help you move faster while staying on brand and rendering correctly across devices. 👁️🗨️ 4. Inbox Retargeting & Re-engagement If someone opens and scrolls but doesn’t click, you can adjust the next email. These behavioral signals help guide follow-ups. A scrolled-but-no-click email may call for a stronger CTA or tighter copy. 🧪 5. Automated Experimentation Go beyond A/B tests. Today’s tools can test dozens or even hundreds of variations at once, subject lines, images, layouts, and more. Platforms like OfferFit by Braze optimize automatically to drive better performance. ⏱ 6. Real-Time Triggers Send the right message the moment someone takes action, like signing up or abandoning a cart. It only works if your data flows smoothly and your systems are well-integrated, but the results are worth the effort. 💰 7. Revenue-Based Measurement Connect email to pipeline and revenue. If your data and attribution are in place, you can measure how nurture programs or product launches actually impact the business. Which do you think is most effective? What would you add? Replenishment isn’t a side feature, it’s a force multiplier. This is a big mistake. We’ve seen replenishment flows outperform promos and win-back emails combined. They convert better every time with the right timing and zero customer effort. Brands overspend on ads to win new customers, then forget to win them again. They need to predict exactly when a customer needs to repurchase and trigger the message at the perfect moment. Not too soon, not too late. Just right. ++ 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 – 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗙𝗶𝘅 𝗜𝘁 ++ 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁 ✅ Fix: Replenit’s AI triggers proactive reminders across channels exactly when customers are likely to run out, via the brand's own marketing automation vendors, without any migration. 𝗣𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹 ✅ Fix: Multichannel orchestration (SMS, push, email) with personalized timing based on consumption behavior. 𝗡𝗼 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 ✅ Fix: Smart upsell bundles, urgency messages (“running low?”), and loyalty integration improve reorder ROI. • Food & Beverage, pet food and treats, wellness & beauty products hold the highest repeat purchase potential, being very high due to frequent, perishable-driven consumption patterns. • Online groceries and FMCG rank high in habitual/impulsive behavior, presenting a strong fit for mobile push and SMS-driven replenishment campaigns. Brands like Glosel turned a leaky bucket into a revenue engine with Replenit’s AI-powered multichannel replenishment flows. 🚀 53.75% more automation revenue 🛒 +28% higher AOV 📲 100% of the Multichannel approach, email, SMS & Push channel revenue -12X Higher Engagement Rate Why does it work? Learnings from The Meta Report are tough to boil down to one-size-fits-all snappy soundbites - annoying, I know. But one area in particular has caught a lot of attention: Our analysis of Advantage+ vs. Manual campaigns. Adv+ is changing - while Manual campaigns are going away, you'll still be able to express the same manual controls in your Adv+ campaigns. Here’s how I would think about the report’s findings around Adv+ vs. Manual: - Advantage+ still outperformed Manual for 42% of brands. This is by no means a blowout. Nothing is a universal winner and so much will depend on your brand, your audience, and how you manage your account. - Advantage+ is a powerful intent identifier. It works fast with an iROAS that’s 9% better than Manual campaigns by the experiment midpoint. This can be a huge asset for teams during condensed timeframes like promotions. - Consider balancing out these Advantage+ campaigns with mid and upper-funnel strategies. We’re seeing more and more brands do this with impressive results. This is particularly important for omni-channel brands who sell on Amazon & Retail, as upper-funnel optimization drove +138% omnichannel halo effects vs +46% for purchase-optimized campaigns. - Every business is different: Remember these are averages from 640 incrementality experiments. While you can get directional insights from these takeaways, you won’t know how they apply to your business until you test for yourself. If you haven't yet, check out the full report (all 18 pages…4000 words…loads of nuance), linked in the comments.

If you’re only looking at pre-purchase data in your marketing , you’re missing half the story. Here’s how you can create insight loop and use post-purchase behavior to optimize your funnel and marketing: 1. Understand why people repurchase and feed your marketing with it. - Look at repeat purchase windows. How long do they happen after purchase and ask people “what quality and value made you come back”. - We call this “true value,” why people keep coming back and stay. This needs to go right into your value props. 2. See the problems and complaints for what they are, insights and golden nuggets. - Use support tickets, complaints for two things (other than answering and fixing of course). - Make content that addresses any gaps in what to expect or how to use your product. - Correct and align any miss mated expectations in your offer and promise. 3. Build retention and reactivation funnels - Stop treating post-purchase like an afterthought. - Use support and service data to design journeys that reinforce value, not just push discounts. 4. Feed insights into creative briefs - If loyalty shows up in community chatter or service frustrations, those themes should drive your campaigns. - Grounding creative in real buyer behavior keeps it relevant. These overlooked steps connect your most valuable source of insight to your marketing, your customers. ------------------------ Find this insightful? ♻️ Repost it to your network and follow Ryan Edwards for more. It’s not about sending more emails; it’s about sending the right ones. For a UK-based jewelry brand, email became the star of the show, delivering incredible results in just two months: - 36.75% open rate – outperforming industry standards with messaging that truly resonated. - 4.02% click-through rate – reaching and engaging the audience where it mattered most. - 800K+ revenue increase – all within just 60 days. Here’s how we made it happen: - Understanding the audience: We got deep into what matters to British women aged 25-55—elegance, simplicity, and timeless design. The result? Emails that felt personal and aligned with the brand’s identity. - Building trust over time: Starting with 500 emails, we scaled gradually (20% daily), focusing on quality over quantity to build a strong sender reputation. - Making every email count: Follow-ups were crafted specifically for engaged users, creating a sense of connection and driving real action. This wasn’t about sending more—it was about creating thoughtful, effective campaigns that delivered results. What’s the one email marketing insight you wish you’d known sooner? They didn't forget; they objected. Instead of "activation" or "abandonment" emails, try this... People don't abandon checkouts and free trials because they 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘵, they abandon because they 𝘰𝘣𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵. Instead of sending “reminders,” figure out 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘣𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘥 and address the 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘰𝘣𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 – Not just in your emails, but at the root cause, before they abandon. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 If you ask ChatGPT, it'll tell you to offer free shipping and enable guest checkout – but you know it’s not that simple. Fixing “process friction” will only get you so far – most abandonment is caused by 𝘱𝘴𝘺𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, like an unanswered question or a nagging doubt. 𝟲 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝘅 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺) 1. 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – Is it compatible with…? Does it do X thing? 𝗙𝗶𝘅: Live chat & detailed Q&A 2. 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 [𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹]? 𝗙𝗶𝘅: Show the main use cases, testimonials with specific results 3. 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗜 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝘁? Or forget it but keep getting billed? 𝗙𝗶𝘅: Generous cancellation / return policies 4. 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – What will my boss / team / spouse think? 𝗙𝗶𝘅: Give them a story to justify the purchase to themselves (e.g. “it's cheaper in the long-run” or “you only live once.”) 5. 𝗜𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗺𝗲? (e.g. Coders, non-native speakers, gen Z women?) 𝗙𝗶𝘅: Say & show who it’s for 6. 𝗢𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻 – They are switching from their last product for a reason, so they need to believe your product won't have that flaw. 𝗙𝗶𝘅: Position against your competitor’s flaw (e.g. “99.999% availability,” or “24/7 live support.”) 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝗽𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Don't speculate. Ask your 𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘴: 1. 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 – “What are the main objections you hear from prospects?” 2. 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 – “What made you almost not buy?” Prospects who abandoned probably had 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘴 as the ones who bought. 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗲 Many people will say they’ve “been too busy.” That’s bullsh*t. Reality: either they don’t understand how it helps, your product or site confused them, or they don’t actually need it. Helpful? Re-post to help others in your network.
