    For years, I was stuck in a cycle of trying to “do more.” I’d pack my day with tasks, thinking the more I got done, the better. But eventually, I realised productivity isn’t about racing through checklists or squeezing out every second. It’s about impact, focus, and - surprisingly - sometimes even doing nothing at all. Here are 3 mindset shifts that have transformed how I approach productivity.👇 1️⃣ Effectiveness > Efficiency Just because you’re moving doesn’t mean you’re going in the right direction. Busy ≠ productive. These days, I’m focused on effectiveness - doing the right things, not just doing things right. It’s about aligning my work with my goals and prioritising impact over speed. Next time you’re working through a to-do list, ask yourself: What will make the biggest difference? 2️⃣ Quality > Quantity Trying to juggle eight different tasks sounds productive, but often it’s a shortcut to burnout. I’ve found that picking just one or two high-impact tasks usually leads to far better results than spreading myself thin. Focus on the 20% of your work that drives 80% of your results. The power of productivity lies in choosing impact over quantity. 3️⃣ Wholehearted Nothing > Half-hearted Something This one took me the longest to understand. Sometimes, the best way to be productive is to do... absolutely nothing. Sounds counterintuitive, right? The reality is, not every minute has to be filled. Choosing what not to do can be just as powerful as deciding what to tackle. Taking intentional breaks or even letting yourself rest completely can be the key to showing up fully when it matters most. Next time you’re caught in the “do more” trap, remember: true productivity isn’t about doing more, it’s about making every action meaningful.

    Confession: For years, I ignored my self-talk. Today, I live by these 5 principles👇 ——— 1️⃣ Mindset matters The more successful people I talk to, the more mindset comes up. Natural talent, effort, even skill—these factors contribute to your success. But without the right mindset, you'll never reach your full potential. Why invest in mindset work? Because it will make or break your success. ——— 2️⃣ Speak kindly "What advice would you give your best friend?" The first time I heard this reframe, it 100% changed my approach to self-talk. When helping a friend, I would NEVER be as harsh or critical as I often am with myself. Kindness. Understanding. Supportive suggestions. This is how you help others. Help yourself the same way. ——— 3️⃣ Challenge negative thoughts Negative thoughts are like weeds—if you don't pull them, they'll grow. The simplest way I've found to stop these thoughts: challenge them. "Is that really true?" This question cuts through 99% of negative thoughts. ——— 4️⃣ Set healthy boundaries I'm convinced of this... It's impossible to have positive self-talk if you spend all your time around people with negative self-talk—people who limit themselves and others. You can try to help them. But if that doesn't work, boundaries are essential. ——— 5️⃣ Practice gratitude and affirmations Gratitude and affirmations are the ultimate self-talk tools. They cut through negativity like a knife through warm butter. When you celebrate what you have and lift yourself up, it's nearly impossible to fall into the "I can't do it" mindset that comes with negative self-talk. Invest in these tools.     Do you know how powerful thoughts are? They shape everything we do, even when we don’t realize it. It’s like this: What you think → turns into what you say. What you say → guides what you do. Keep doing the same thing → It becomes a habit. Those habits? → They shape who you are. And who you are determines where you end up in life. I’ve noticed this in my own life. When I focus on positive, productive thoughts, I see better results in everything I do. ✅ Being a more efficient doctor ✅ Being a more confident business owner ✅ Being a smarter real estate investor ✅ Being a better dad When I first started investing, I also had doubts. “What if I fail? What if I lose money?” Those negative thoughts? They can hold you back. Make it hard to move forward. Keep you stuck in the same place. But I made a conscious decision to shift my mindset. I focused on thinking about the potential rewards, the long-term benefits, and my financial goals. Now, looking at my journey, I see how those thoughts led me to invest not just for myself but also to help others… Especially fellow healthcare professionals to reach their financial goals. So here’s my advice: Start by watching your thoughts → Choose to think in ways that help you grow. Your thoughts today can shape your future tomorrow.
