If I were starting an SEO program from scratch at a B2B startup today, I wouldn’t just aim for traffic—I’d aim for pipeline and revenue. Here’s how I’d build it. 1. Start with customers, not keywords Most SEO programs start by chasing keywords. Instead, I’d start by talking to prospects and customers to understand the exact pain points they're searching for. SEO isn’t just about ranking—it’s about showing up when a potential customer is actively looking for a solution. I'd want to learn: - What led them to look for a product like ours? - What words do they use to describe their challenges? - What objections do they have to using or paying for the product? - What other products or solutions did they consider? This would form the foundation of my SEO strategy. 2. Create "problem-aware" content first Most B2B startups waste time targeting high-volume, competitive keywords. Instead, I’d focus on problem-aware searches—queries that signal the user is actively trying to solve a pain point. Some examples: - “[product_name] alternatives” - “[solution 1] vs [solution 2]” - "[product category] software" - “How to [problem they're solving]” These topics attract searchers with high commercial intent. They're either explicitly looking for products OR have demonstrated they're trying to do something your product helps with. 3. Publish the first 10 pages that matter Start small. Rather than try to publish 1000s of pages with AI, prioritize the first 10 pages that are most likely to drive conversions and possible for your website to appear for (i.e., probably not the most competitive topics). This might include: - Product comparison pages - Several "how-to" guides on solving key pain points - Case studies speaking to pain points and proof of results This ensures our first batch of pages are focused on yes appearing in search results, but also capturing the right audience that's most likely to signup. 4. Stay consistent and measure what matters SEO isn’t a quick win. It takes time to build from scratch and compounds over time. I wouldn’t check rankings daily. Instead, I’d focus on: Leading indicators: ✅ Improved keyword rankings - You might not rank in the top 3, but moving from position 71 to 32 is progress ✅ Search impressions and clicks - Another proxy that shows whether or not you're discoverable on search and if people click to your site ✅ Organic traffic - While not the end goal, you want to make sure people land on your site Lagging indicators: ✅ Organic demo requests/signups ✅ Sales qualified leads / pipeline ✅ Revenue The biggest challenge is usually sticking with the program long enough to see meaningful results. The mistake I see marketers make is "try SEO" for 1-3 months then give up just as the program is starting to bear fruit ):

If I were a B2B SaaS CMO looking to drive leads & pipeline growth in 2026, here’s the marketing framework I’d use: 1. BUILD AN ICP INSIGHTS ENGINE Understand your customers as deeply as possible. This is the key to it all. Talk with your customers. Talk with your salespeople. Listen to sales call recordings. Read customer reviews on G2, Trustpilot, etc. Read what they say about you on Reddit. Review longtail queries in GSC. Conduct a CRM win-loss analysis. Let these audience insights guide your messaging, marketing, website, and content. 2. STRENGTHEN YOUR MESSAGING Your messaging can be the difference between a conversion and site abandonment. What’s the biggest problem that you solve for clients? Make sure that you communicate this clearly and effectively. Powerful messaging is a rising tide that lifts all marketing boats. 3. BUILD AN INTENT ENGINE Target accounts that are already showing buying signals. Forget spray-and-pray. Just precision. This is one of the fastest paths to new leads & pipeline. This is low-hanging fruit for higher lead gen ROI. 4. SEO/GEO/AEO Google is Stratabeat’s top lead source outside of referrals for 2025. We’ve achieved a record number of organic leads this year. Those who say that SEO is dead are simply doing it wrong. Our fastest-growing lead source is ChatGPT. Focus on GEO/AEO and winning in the LLMs. Structure your content, add conversational query-style language, and increase third-party mentions. 5. CONDUCT INDUSTRY TARGETING This type of content is crazy effective and sets you apart from generalists. Stratabeat has conducted numerous B2B SaaS SEO correlation studies. In every study, industry-specific content generated higher organic traffic. For Stratabeat, industry-specific content has been a STRONG leads driver. 6. CONDUCT ORIGINAL RESEARCH This is the most effective type of content to cut through the noise, captivate your audience, drive traffic, secure mentions and backlinks, and increase leads. Data-driven research was a key SEO driver in fueling annual revenue growth from $24M to $65M for one of our clients. It works! 7. UP YOUR VIDEO GAME Video enables you to create a continuous demand engine. It’s effective because buyers trust faces and voices more than copy, plus it’s more memorable. It’s easy to atomize your videos and post them not only in YouTube, but also in LinkedIn, your website, your content, etc. 8. LEAN INTO EXECUTIVE BRANDING Just about every market is now oversaturated with competitors. You need an effective way to cut through the noise, and nothing does that quite as much as executive branding. Plus, personal posts often get 3-10X the engagement of company page posts. 9. CONDUCT CONVERSION OPTIMIZATION This is sooooo effective, yet I’m always surprised by the number of companies that are not actively working to achieve higher conversion rates. CRO, behavioral analysis, experimentation, testing, etc. all increase your leads. Let’s Destroy Mediocre Marketing!

June 2026 SEO results for a contract manufacturer client: ✅ 69 organic leads, beating the monthly goal ✅ First-time calls from organic up +75% ✅ 348 keywords now ranking in Google's top 3, including the #1 spot for a core metal-stamping money term ✅ Organic traffic up +25% year over year ✅ $858K in SEO revenue YTD Here's how we did it. Seven layers, run consistently, and actionable for you (pulled straight from our task log): 1. Build a page for every material, part, and industry they serve. An engineer searches "titanium stamping," or "stampings for busbars," or "metal stamping for oil and gas." So we mapped that grid and published a dedicated page for each cell: material pages, application pages, and industry pages. 2. Pull the content out of the client's head and off their shop floor. In a technical niche, generic content loses, so we drove out to the facility to capture photos and audio, turned it into videos and posts, and had their engineers review the money pages for accuracy. This is the kind of work this Sixth City Marketing team does that makes me so proud to work here and it's why our clients win. 3. Make a text-heavy site pleasant to use. Redesigning page templates, adding graphics, charts, and infographics to pages that were walls of spec text, breadcrumbs, and cleaning up the mega-menu. Smooth out the UX as much as possible and use Clarity to spot issues and confirm solutions. 4. Build the most linkable assets out of boring industry data. A well-researched statistics and trends post (reshoring, domestic manufacturing) pulls backlinks in a niche where that can be tough to do. One tip: keep the year out of the URL so you can refresh the same post annually instead of starting over. 5. Show up off-site every single month. Expert-source and PR-style links, directory work, and unlinked-mention cleanup, done on a monthly cadence instead of in bursts. Nothing clever, just consistent. 6. Treat internal linking as a monthly job, not a one-time cleanup. With a lot of pages, internal links with specific anchor text are how authority and context reaches the money pages. It's on our task list every month. 7. Keep updating the pages that already work. New keyword variations, FAQs, comparison tables, and "key takeaways" added to existing pages, plus a full reformat of our single highest-traffic post. Map every material, part, and industry your buyer searches, publish a page for each, wire them together, and keep the whole thing fed. Account Strategist: Steve DiMatteo

Looking around, I see many online stores leaving $100,000/month on the table. Let’s fix that. Most eCommerce stores rely on outdated SEO tactics like: Broad, competitive keywords Generic product descriptions Thin category pages Random blogs that don’t convert Here’s a 10-step strategy that actually works 1. Build a Solid Technical Foundation Your site must load fast and run smoothly. Optimize site speed (sub-3s load time). Enable mobile-first design. Compress images without sacrificing quality. 2. Target High-Intent Keywords Skip broad, competitive keywords. Focus on commercial intent long-tails. How to Find Them: Use tools like Ahrefs or SEMrush to identify keywords with lower difficulty and solid search volume. Group keywords into clusters (“men’s running shoes” > “best running shoes for flat feet” > “lightweight running shoes for marathon training”). Examples: Instead of “shoes,” target “waterproof hiking boots for women” or “best trail running shoes for rocky terrain.” Use semantic SEO to include terms like “durable soles,” “lightweight,” or “breathable materials” to capture more intent. 3. Optimize Category Pages Category pages drive major traffic, don’t waste the opportunity. Write detailed descriptions with engaging headers. Add FAQs and customer reviews. Link to related products and subcategories. 4. Build High-Converting Product Pages Your product pages need to rank AND convert. Write unique descriptions (skip manufacturer copy). Add trust signals: Free shipping, secure payment badges, and reviews. Use structured data for rich snippets (e.g., star ratings). 5. Implement a Content Strategy Content builds authority and attracts traffic. Create blog clusters around buyer questions. Example cluster: “How to Choose the Right Backpack” → “Top 10 Lightweight Tents.” Link blogs to category and product pages to guide conversion. 6. Build a Local Strategy (If Relevant) Optimize for regional searches: Create location pages like “Hiking Gear Store in Denver.” Target location-specific terms: “hiking gear near [City].” 7. Use Schema Implementation Schema boosts rankings and CTRs. Add product schema (prices, reviews). Use FAQ schema for common customer questions. 8. Build Authority With Backlinks Backlinks build credibility. Pitch niche blogs or create data-driven guides for linkable content. Use competitor analysis tools to find backlink gaps. Aim at least 30% of links at your homepage. 9. Implement a Conversion Strategy Traffic is great, but conversions pay the bills. Retarget cart-abandoners: “Still interested? Get 10% off now!” Offer incentives like free shipping or discounts. Use exit-intent pop-ups: “Before you go, here’s 10% off!” 10. Monitor Performance With Analytics Track metrics like keyword rankings, bounce rates, and conversion rates. Underperforming pages? Refresh content and add internal links. Dropping CTR? Test new meta titles/descriptions.

Many founders rely on word-of-mouth and social media, but Google can work for you 24/7. When most business owners think about getting clients, they immediately turn to Instagram reels, LinkedIn posts, or Facebook groups. And while these platforms can work, they all have the same fundamental problem: you have to constantly show up. Miss a week of posting? Your leads dry up. Algorithm changes? Your engagement plummets. Personal emergency? Your pipeline empties. But what if I told you there's a lead generation strategy that works for you 24/7/365, even when you're sleeping, on vacation, or focusing on delivering client work? That strategy is SEO-driven content. While most business owners are refreshing their Instagram insights and fretting over declining engagement, our clients wake up to email notifications of new leads who found them through Google searches. Here's why this matters: 81% of people search online before making a purchase decision. When someone has a problem they need solved, they don't open Instagram—they open Google. One of our financial coaching clients went from 128 organic clicks per month to over 30,000 in 18 months. He now receives 50+ qualified leads every week from people actively searching for his services—without posting a single reel or spending a dollar on ads. And when someone finds you through Google, something powerful happens: *instant credibility*. Think about it. If you're comparing: - A coach who's in your Facebook feed because you follow them - A coach who appears at the top of Google for "executive leadership coach for women in finance" Which one would you trust more? The Google result wins almost every time. SEO isn't just about traffic—it's about strategic positioning. When you create content around specific keywords related to your expertise, you're essentially claiming territory in your prospect's mind. Want Google to become your best salesperson? Start by identifying your "money keywords"—the terms your ideal clients search when they're ready to buy. Then create valuable, optimized content around these terms and be patient. The leads will follow. While your competitors fight for attention in increasingly crowded social feeds, you could be building an asset that works for you around the clock, establishing your credibility and delivering qualified leads directly to your inbox. - ✚ Follow Samantha Hawrylack, MBA for all things SEO, copywriting, email marketing, content marketing, and digital growth. I’m on a mission to help finance and real estate brands scale with data-driven marketing strategies that generate massive visibility and effortless sales while having lifestyle freedom.

Traffic is nice. A full Pipeline is better. If your SEO content isn’t turning into leads and revenue, you’ve got a content publishing plan, not a content strategy. Here’s the 5 steps I use to fix it. 1. Start with the ICP, not keywords Figure out what your ideal customers are trying to solve. Build content around their problems, not what SEO Tools says has search volume. 2. Map content to the funnel - Top of funnel: Educate (what is predictive maintenance) - Middle of funnel: Compare (predictive vs preventive maintenance) - Bottom of funnel: Convert (best CMMS software for logistics companies) 3. Build topic clusters - Create one pillar page per core topic - Support it with five to ten focused articles - Link everything internally to guide the reader from awareness to action 4. Optimise for pipeline, not just rankings - Test layouts, headlines, and conversion points - Use CTAs that match the reader’s intent - Capture leads before they exit the page 5. Track what moves the needle - Use CRM and analytics data to prove ROI - Measure which blog posts influence deals - Track which visitors become meetings or MQLs Most content teams focus on rankings. The smart ones build content that closes deals.

Most “SEO plans” are just a content calendar with vibes. High-performing SEO is a system—rank → retrieve → cite → convert—not a pile of blog posts. Over the last few years, this is the 15-block framework I use to turn traffic into revenue: 1. Start with the business → goals, ICP, and the few products/locations that actually move the needle. 2. Map the landscape → competitors, SERP features, AI Overviews, and gaps by funnel stage. 3. Build clusters, not one-offs → one pillar + interlinked subtopics, FAQs, comparisons. 4. Outline before you write → H1–H3s, internal links, tables, and schema planned up front. 5. Lead with a quick answer → 50–60 words, sourced, snippet-ready. 6. Show first-hand proof → steps, screenshots, results, and a real byline. 7. Link with intent → pass authority from hubs → money pages; fix orphans; avoid cannibalization. 8. Cover the full funnel → TOFU educates, MOFU compares, BOFU converts. 9. Publish weekly, compound monthly → small ships create momentum for crawls, links, and citations. 10. Use video & visuals → demos/tables that earn dwell time and snippet wins. 11. Prioritize technical fixes → index/canonicals, CWV, HTTPS, sitemaps, robots. 12. Refresh at 60–90 days → tighten the quick answer, add data, expand FAQs. 13. Lock your entities → consistent NAP + sameAs across site, listings, schema. 14. Promote for citations → outreach, quotes, and original stats. 15. Measure & iterate → revenue/lead KPIs, AI citations, snippets → ship one fix + one win each week. Building Local Dominance for Service Business I SEO & GEO Visibility | $40K+/mo revenue add I Added $100k to Shark Tank Company with SEO | No contracts

+98% more clicks. +$95K/month in added revenue. 40 new buyers a month. All from SEO. 📈 A real estate company was spending $10K/month on paid social with a 1.5x ROAS. Sales were inconsistent. They needed a reliable lead source. So we built one. Here's what happened in 6 months: 📊 The results (YoY): → Clicks: 55K → 109K (+98%) → Impressions: 1.18M → 2.98M (+153%) → 40 qualified buyers per month from organic → $95K/month in added revenue → Top 3 rankings across 5 markets → SEO became the #1 lead source, beating paid social 🔍 The problems we found: → Low Map Pack visibility → Almost no non-branded rankings → Thin pages that missed buyer intent → Slow mobile speed is hurting conversions → Index bloat hiding priority pages → Weak internal linking and authority signals ⚙️ What we did: 1️⃣ Local SEO — Optimized GBPs, mapped geo keywords to buyer intent, launched unique market and neighborhood pages with FAQs and CTAs 2️⃣ Technical SEO — Fixed Core Web Vitals, cleaned sitemaps, blocked junk URLs, added structured data, built internal linking hubs 3️⃣ Content & Authority — Buyer guides, neighborhood spotlights, FAQ schema, digital PR outreach, and lead magnets No shortcuts. Systematic SEO built around how real buyers search. 📌 Organic didn't just supplement paid. It replaced it as the primary growth channel. Higher quality leads, shorter sales cycles, consistent results. Want to see what SEO could do for your business? Let's talk. 💬

  • Most SEO/ GEO discussions focus on rankings rather than revenue. Rankings only matter if your pages convert and attract the right audience. Lead generation SEO needs a different approach from content volume or keyword chasing. It starts with intent and ends with action. Search behavior in B2B and high consideration buying journeys is slower, longer, and more research driven. This means your content must help users progress through each stage, not just appear in search. Start by mapping your funnel. Identify which queries signal early research versus active interest. Build pages that reduce friction, answer questions clearly, and remove any uncertainty about what to do next. Technical SEO is essential but only valuable when paired with strong messaging, fast loading pages, structured headings, and clear calls to action. Many sites rank but fail to convert due to unclear positioning or slow response times. If you want stronger leads, align content, structure, and clarity. https://lnkd.in/dEg93Pj #seo #leadgeneration #digitalmarketing #b2bmarketing #contentstrategy

I turned an underdog site with little online presence into a $15k/mo powerhouse in 6 months. Here’s how you can do the same: 1. Go for low-competition keywords 🔑: Don’t fight DR90 giants for high-volume keywords. Use Ahrefs Content Explorer to find low-DR sites ranking for keywords with solid traffic but have almost no backlinks. Getting this initial traffic signals trust with Google, allowing you to rank for more lucrative keywords later. 2. Turn traffic into conversions 🎯: Your informational content should funnel readers to your revenue-generating content with smart UX. Use inline CTAs, contextual links, and sticky sidebars. They’re simple tweaks that drive massive results. Get the custom related posts plugin on WordPress to ensure your highest-earning pages always appear first in suggested posts. 3. Get juicy links using Digital PR 📄: Create newsworthy stories and pitch them to journalists. Think trending topics with a niche spin—ChatGPT is great for coming up with ideas. Tools like Prowly or Muck Rack can help you find journalists who care about your niche. A single link from a seed site like The New York Times or Washington Post is gold for your rankings. 4. Fix your technical SEO 👷: Keep URLs short, keyword-optimized, and free of unnecessary parameters. Optimize images—use proper sizing, compression (Smush), and lazy loading to speed up load times. Minify CSS and JavaScript to remove unnecessary code and improve performance. These backend fixes pay off fast. 5. Stay consistent ❤️🔥: SEO is a long game. It’s all about pairing strategy with execution. You don’t need a DR90 site to win—you just need to be smarter and more deliberate than the competition.
