Check when the RFC was proposed, when it was initially created, how
many mails have been sent to the list to get feedback about how things
are done, etc. etc.

So excuse me, but I am totally not going any "late" argument,
especially as almost everyone voting no did not say a single word in
months. In the other hands, other arguments about the amount of
changes are very valid and that's why option #2 and #3 have been
added, see my last reply to Stas for more details.
