Skeeter: I talked to The Big Thing after he stopped do all that "work" and grabbed his lap. I normally don't ask any questions, but he has been doing cleaning stuff and I wanted to know wevver strange Big Things were going to come into the cave (I had just had a great dinner, he seemed tired, so I was embolded.
He scratched me for a minute and then splained about something called "cluter". I din't unnerstand that. So he menntioned how we like to puch toys unner the chairs and then we forget about them unless he takes then out. OK, I unnderstand that. Then he said he has been doin that since even before he found us.
Wow! He has been pushng things unner chairs all our lives! Oh, not quite (he says), he loses his toys in closets and shelves and any corner he can find... Thats axtually cool. He hides stuff like we do!
So, apparently, he seems to have gotten annoyed at all his lost toys an is trying to find them all again. Some of them are ones he doesn't want anymore, some he does. I can't tell the difference. None of them look very interesting to LC and me. There are a few softy looking things that are OK.
LC stretched up (wich surprised The Big Thing a lot) and asked him what he does with old toys. I mean, she and I don't want to play with the stuff he pulled out. But LC doesn't like wasting things and I guess she knew The Big Thing doesn't like to either.
So he is collecting stuff he doesn't play with anymore and is taking them to a place where maybe other Big Things can. Other stuff will get buried like litter, an some will get turned into new stuff in some way.
We like that idea! We are going though our toys to find the ones we don't play with to give to shelter kitties to play with. The Big Thing says we shouldn't just give only the stuff we don like but should add something we do like.
That's hard! But he says he will give us some new toys if we do. So we re willing to give that "giving" thing a try.
So I talked to LC about it, an we agreed we don't like those fevver things on stickas an strings very much, but ofer kitties might. We still have to each give up a good toy though. I decided to gif up a fluffy ball. LC decided to gif up a mouse.
If those is goin to shelter kitties, that seems OK. The Big Thing is sending good stuff to a re-use place, so we will do the same for kitties. He says he will get a couple new toys for them too. I and LC think that is a good thot.
We weren't sure about all the cleaning going on, but we feel a lots better about it now!
An we are waiting to see what the new toys are, too. We do want those!

Ack, He's Cleaning Again...
LC: That usually means visitors, and we don't like visitors. They make us nervous; well, Skeeter more than me. The Big Thing has spent the last 2 lights pulling stuff out of closets, off bookshelves, an stacking stuff up in piles on the floors of the cave. A lot of the stuff is going down into the big noisy machine room wif boxes of bottles and nooz-papers.
On the other paw, it doesn't quite seem like the usual kind of visitor cleaning. He isn't using the noisy sucky machine or any of the smelly kemicals, so maybe he is doing something new.
I still haf to be careful, tho. He carries boxes around and I don't wanna get stepped on. It seems efrytime I walk into a room he is comin at me holding a heavy box. He laffs an says he knows where I am, but I figure if I can't see his eyes, he can't see me!
Maybe Skeeter is smart to stay unner the bed, but I like to know what is going on. So I am stayin mostly next to big chairs an walls while he does whatefer it is he is doin! Well, if no strange people show up tommorrow, then he is doin all this stuff for some other reason (an that would be a first time, as far as I can remember).
We'll see. Oops, the "did-din" call - gotta run or Skeeter will eat it all!
